Re: Darlington V Buxton
not surprised the amount of rain that's come down today, and at around 6 it was like a river out there. wasn't half bouncing
Re: Darlington V Buxton
Don't we have pitch covers now? If so I would've thought the groundsman has put them out over night
Re: Darlington V Buxton
Bishop wasn't to bad today occasional heavy showers, however when I left work at 5 tonight it looked seriously black over West Auckland. Fortunately the forecast for tomorrow looks promising so there should be no issues with the weather.
Parking may be an issue as the encampment is still on the car park behind KFc.

Surely there is a way for him to ask for assistance on such occasions. Phone/email/twitter or whatever. Not that hard to get a helping hand when need be.Maurice_Peddelty wrote:What, single handedly?Big Tim wrote:Don't we have pitch covers now? For you to insult me, I must first value your opinion.

The league game scheduled for Wednesday evening against Padiham has therefore been postponed and we will bring you details of the rearranged date in due course. The winner of Wednesday night’s replay will travel to Sheffield FC in the 2nd Qualifying Round on Saturday 2nd November.

Well obviously.
But unless they are very nice people and understanding of the situation, they'll probably not be moving anywhere without a court order!
PS. Pitch inspection this morning.

looking back to last season where it seemed like every time there was a little drizzle the match was called off, I wouldn't make any plans just yet.

Or you could just go and fuck off you moronic little cretin! Only passing on what Ray Simpson and other official bodies have tweeted, so if you have nothing better to do than slag people off why not go on a protest march somewhere and get out of our hair?Bogratsteve wrote:Well if it is called off it would give you something to flap about eh?

Ha Ha major bite from the big hard flapper Mike, it was not me who made the ridiculous comment about matches been called off last season due to a little bit of drizzle, complete crap.MikeinBlack2 wrote:Or you could just go and fuck off you moronic little cretin! Can't quite see where i slagged you off, more pointed out that you would be in your element either here or on Facebook flapping around at the slightest thing

Who actually owns/is responsible for this land? Also thought there was a barrier in place to stop just this kind of problem after we paid to Tarmac it last year!lo36789 wrote:Well think we might be screwed.Fibonacci0112358 wrote:But unless they are very nice people

If we play, obviously could go either way, but surprised that Buxton are slight favourites after Saturday and we being at home.

Same here, very surprised, although bookies are generally pretty poor with their research at this level.swadquaker wrote:If we play, obviously could go either way, but surprised that Buxton are slight favourites after Saturday and we being at home.

Good news! Looking at satellite rainfall map on Met Office, Bishop seems to be clear of any further threat of rain. The sun's cracking the pavement flags over here in Smogland.MikeinBlack2 wrote:Match ON! Passed inspection.

Re: Darlington V Buxton
Interestingly I discovered on Saturday that FA Trophy the teams decide prior to the match whether they will play a replay or settle it on the day.Mr_Tibbs wrote:I think so, extra time was mentioned on another thread.Bogratsteve wrote:is it extra time and penalties tonight?
This suggests there is sufficient financial gain from the fixture tonight otherwise Laura/Martin would have surely opted to settle the tie @ Buxton?
