14th September

Post by Spyman » Sat Aug 31, 2013 11:09 am

I notice we have no fixture for this date - is it a cup weekend? It is my first weekend up north since the same weekend last year and had hoped to take in a match.

Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.

Yeah FA Cup - I'm back also, typical isn't it!

However there may still be hope - there's bound to be teams in our league knocked out of the FA cup today so we could re-arrange a game with one of those.

An away fixture is likely to be arranged against one of the sides knocked out today

This is the answer I was hoping to hear.

One for Charlie - if I pre-order an away shirt, do I have a hope in hell of being able to collect it that day from the shop?

Wakefield knocked out today, got beat 2-0 to New Mills.

Would be ideal for our away game, originally scheduled for the 21st of April, to be brought forward.

Bishop are away in the FA Cup so would be excellent to have a Home game although I think the club are expecting an away game.

Wwakefield away is Bank Holiday 21st can't see anyone be mad keen on swapping a BH Home fixture for a Sat in September although you never know.

Anyone else from Evo North get knocked out today or have replays this week.

Quick look at the results and I think below are the options for us on Sat 14th. Might need checking mind as I was just quickly checking all FA Cup results and remembering who was in our league.

Salford - Got beat
Osset Albion - Got beat
Clitheroe - Got beat
Kendal Town - Got beat
Wakefield - Got beat
Farsley - Got beat

Mossley - Drew
Radcliffe Borough - Drew
Harrogate Railway - Drew
Prescott Cables - Drew

A home game, or Harrogate RA away would be ideal for me.

Ossett Albion - Wed 2nd Oct

Bish are away to Guisborough or Bridlington in the Fa Cup so HP is free.
Bring that forward to Sat 14th Sep, ideal. We get a Saturday home game, their lads don't have to take time off work

Also replaces the home game we should have that week with Radcliffe

Works for me. Hope Harry Dunn has his finger on the pulse like Colin used to.

Anyone know if there will be a fixture on 14th?

Tickets to alternative matches may shortly be in scarce supply.

Just guessing but I think once the 4 FA Cup games are sorted out tonight then the league will arrange fixtures between the teams that are left.

Hopefully get an answer this week.

Ossett A would be the one for me - like Sam says moving a Wed game to a Sat in a amateur league is a no brainer and since we've lost the home game on Weds it would be prrfect

That's a home game from the 5th April moved forward and now two Saturday home games ont he belt.

I guess it depends on how the weather treats us this year to determine what will happen with that Sat in April but in theory we would have no one to play unless they juggle some games around.

Not a big issue as no doubt games will need to be re-arranged.

No doubt we'll have other fixtures to re-arrange later in the season but we are best getting games in early doors (and on a Saturday) while the pitch is in good condition.
