Re: Burger van

Re: Burger van
How? We need to run the club as a business, which means going to the best service at the right price, it's common sense
Re: Burger van
surely satisfaction outweighs money!!
Re: Burger van
Thought we were looking at making money?
I'd heard that the concessions cost us money last season rather than contributing to the coffers

Re: Burger van
No chips was an issue that came up a few times today, not a big one but I guess people were used to being able to get them.
No idea about the financial side but I would say you need to find a company that hits both a satisfaction for the customer and is financially a good deal for the club as well.

Trust me I've mentioned the no chips issue to Laura a few times today, she's heard and will hopefully sort it xsuper_les_mcjannet wrote:No chips was an issue that came up a few times today, not a big one but I guess people were used to being able to get them.

Not the biggest problem in the world but I did hear it mentioned a few times, once by my little one.charlie wrote:Trust me I've mentioned the no chips issue to Laura a few times today, she's heard and will hopefully sort it xsuper_les_mcjannet wrote:No chips was an issue that came up a few times today, not a big one but I guess people were used to being able to get them.

Re: Burger van
Don't get this, we can't have been paying them to come when they had a captive market of 1,000 plus customers every week, we should have been charging them concessions and earning an income from the burger vansCraig09 wrote:He was charging too much so we got rid

The original deal at up before last season wasn't good for the club financiallyBogratsteve wrote:Don't get this, we can't have been paying them to come when they had a captive market of 1,000 plus customers every week, we should have been charging them concessions and earning an income from the burger vansCraig09 wrote:He was charging too much so we got rid

Re: Burger van
they used to give darlo 250 quid per van
Re: Burger van
The old deal was on a commission basis, not flat feedarryljon wrote:they used to give darlo 250 quid per van
Re: Burger van
was originally 15% then went to 250
Re: Burger van
Ian was very generous. He didnt charge is at all! We got 30% commission from total takings on his vans, not from profit. He charged us £8 a head for two course meals and practically did the players food for nothing.
On top of that, he arranged the transport to pick the arena covers up, helped pick up the snow machine plough which was used last year and........he wasn't contacted by anyone this year. Huge shame as he helped us out so much!

Re: Burger van
I'm glad someone brought this up.
The burger van is only a small symptom of a much bigger problem, I bought a bacon sandwich from that so called burger van today and it was too dry, very poor value for money at £2.50. This coupled with the fact that the price at the gate was raised by £1 with out me knowing, it seems just as we take a step forward on the pitch we take two back.
I also resent paying an extra 20p for a match day programme, again poor value for money as it looks exactly the same as last seasons.
Very poor service by the club, I personally question the need for a burger van it is clearly a needless drain on finances to hire, theres a KFC and supermarkets outside, we don't need it. Get rid.
