SPONSOR A GOAL SCHEME 2013-2014
Many of you will be aware of the relaunch of the Sponsor a Goal scheme which was run last season, raising £1200 for the club in it’s season in the Northern League.- helped by the free scoring team and great defence.
For those of you who are unaware of the Sponsor a Goal scheme, the idea is very simple. Participants agree to pledge a sum of money for each goal scored by their chosen player, for each goal scored by the team, or for each clean sheet. One of the Fundraising Groups mathematical wizards will keep a running tally of how much is owed by each participant. At the end of the season all participants will be encouraged to pay the sums owed and the money raised will be handed over to the club.
Monthly updates will be sent by email to all of those participants who submit an email address, and will also be posted on various websites and forums, as well as Facebook and Twitter.
An application form is printed on the reverse of this letter to allow you to join the scheme. Please feel free to pledge as much or as little as you feel you can afford then watch your chosen star put the ball away week after week.
Yours sincerely
The DFCFG committee

Sponsor a Goal
Last year this scheme was supported by a number of fans and raised £1200
I would hope that we can raise more this season
Pledges are accepted for virtually anything to do with the team.
Whether an amount per goal by the team, or a named individual, a defender, from a corner or penalty, after the 75th minute, if it can be measured then I'll take a pledge.
An application form is linked to below, either complete and pass to the club shop in the market or the stall on match days, or email the details to darlogoals@gmail.com

yeh to be fair I miss a lot of the stickied stuff...find that bumps on here are much more effective. The Come on Darlo was a reminder to boost interest as the season approaches. Fair play TS3!

I'll sponsor £1.00 per player per game that wear these boots or other all pink boots with the away shirt.
Anyone else in with me?

That's Mark down for anyone wearing pink boots.
Anyone else want to sponsor the goals for the new season?

There will be forms for the Sponsor A Goal Scheme available from Quaker Retail on Monday
Re: Sponsor a Goal Scheme 2013-2014
If you have been put off joining by worrying that we would be as prolific at scoring as last season, you could always elect to pay your sponsorship monthly.
A number of people do this, and it certainly makes things easier on the budget to find a couple of quid at a time.

Pledges accepted with a start date later than the first game of the season. So if you want to start from tomorrow's game, No problem.

September Update
The total raised so far (to end of Sept, if all pledges are fulfilled) is £277
It is never too late to join - after all, last year the scheme didn't get approval to start until November.
Pledges are accepted for: Darlo Goals Scored, Clean Sheets, Penalties scored, Goals scored by named players.
Which player will raise the most for their goals? AJ, Dowson, Amar and Tommo all have their goals sponsored.
You can start from the date of your pledge, or backdate it to the start of the season.
Pledge amounts can be as big or small as you want. The average pledged for Goals Scored is 70p and for Clean Sheets is £1.20, but there are individual pledges between 25p and £5 a go.
If you don't fancy having to find the money at the end of the season, then you can also pay monthly or in two parts (New Year and End of Season). Bank details will be provided, or you can pay me at the ground.

Re: Sponsor a Goal Scheme 2013-2014
Following a suggestion and pledge today, I will now be accepting pledges for Darlo winning a match.
As Martin said in his mail to me (darlogoals@gmail.com) -
Can't make a home match? Away match too far to travel? Pledge an amount for the team to win
All money raised will go directly to the Football Club. Around £900 so far this season already!!
Here is a great opportunity to help keep the club alive, and ensure there is something to bring back to Darlo next season!
As Martin said in his mail to me (darlogoals@gmail.com) -
There is lots of talk on the message board about money being needed for this or that and not many people are willing to step forward to do something about it.I have seen many messages on the forum to say:
'I would give a fiver/tenner/50 quid for a win this week'
You could even have it as a multi-choice.
How much would you give for a win this week?
£1
£3
£5
£10
The bigger the match and closer to the end of the season the more money you would get.
