One of the comments sums it up in that being in debt does not equal making a loss.

Man Utd are in debt.

Appears to be Farsley AFC's press officer and self-proclaimed non league football expert according to his Twitter account.

Again, people in a stable condition can be on life support, can they not?

Well I think he's debunked that myth tonight.

of course they can....but they'll always be one who pounces on a quote and then takes it totally out of context to everything else that is said :x

I thought we'd got away from this ill informed bile, but apparently not. Oh well. The clear lack of research makes a mockery of his self proclaimed "non-league expert" status.

Are we playing Farsley this year?

Takes a swipe at Chester as well who for me are an inspiration. He completely missed the point of martin J's presentation where the emphasis was wholly on financial rigour. You'd think from this article ('not a great endorsement for fan-owned clubs') that it was only fan clubs where finances went wrong.

this is a much better read

I'm just bracing myself for the Echo summary.

Who knows? I haven't actually heard of any of the clubs at this level (seriously!). At least I'd heard of Bishop, Spenny, Whitley Bay, Bedlington - all recognisable non league names.

Who the fuck are Cammel Laird? Is that a place?

I know the feeling. The only team I really know of is Mossley, and that's only because we played them a couple of years ago. I suppose it will be an education!

At least when we get to the Evo Prem there are a few teams I've heard of.

The ECHO couldn't be bothered to turn up.Although Ray Simpson might write a paragraph or two.

That's maybe not a bad thing, because they'd have got some mileage out of the "club in intensive care" comment I'm sure.

I thought it was a shipyard or something but I could be wrong. Heard it on the BEEB a couple of times about strikes there. I know Harrogate RA and West Yorkshire clubs and the NE Lancashire clubs like Clitheroe/Ramsbottom as I lived near these places. I'd be very confident for the lads tbh.

We will indeed be playing Farsley this season.

Don't judge them on the comments by this 'journalist' though, they are a well run friendly Club who will make Darlo very welcome,I'm sure.

My reply to this steaming turd (below) has seemingly been deleted from his page:

He comes from the Darlo Cockney school of advocacy for free speech then...

He is one to talk, he should no fine well what we are going through considering his team are a Phoenix Club after Farsley Celtic went down the Kermit in 2010...

As for Cammel Laird, its a shipyard, somwhere like Birkenhead

I could have written a better 'article' if i'd repeatedly headbutted my keyboard. Which is exactly what this 'article' makes me feel like doing...

If this is the future of sports journalism i don't think the likes of Stod have anything to worry about!

Really Spyman? 'Poeple in a stable condition can be on life support'..that really is stretching an analogy. In general if someone on life support is stable its because they are on life support. Withdraw that support and guess what? How long will the life support have to continue until the stable patient can survive without it? Did anyone answer that?

Are you still banging on? What are you're views on Spennymoor being a massive turd in the NL that wont flush. The league is now that constipated because of you, its just fookin unreal! Move up or move on, and take them sour grapes with you!

I wonder what our "non league expert" makes of us signing another quality player!
