I'd rather not remember Mark Samways.

I don't think he ever managed to kick a ball straight.

Hardly a one game wonder! Although he wasnt popular with some fans he had an excellent clean sheet record for us.

ahhh flapper samways, his clean sheet record probably had a lot to do with the fact he played in front of liddle, aspin & tutill.

Ok, heres one

Rory Prendergast

I think he only played about 5 games. Signed from Rochdale (I think) on loan.

Only reason I remember him was catching a new headline on the car radio that said he had died. Turned out I had misheard and that it was Teddy Pendergrass!

Shrews

He is currently unattached, since he left us he has dipped into the non-league world.

He was at Farsley Celtic for a while and then I think had a trial at Bradford Park Avenue. I know some of us call non league football the jumpers for goalposts league but Prendergast was no worse than the wide players we have now and he is steadily dropping through the part time leagues. Worrying really . . .

I love the way you look stuff up online and then are like "hmm I think he might have gone to Goole", it's genuinely brilliant

Considering Goole is next to me and there results come in my local paper. Along with the squad lists.

I'm still trying to recover from the news Teddy Pendergrass has died. :(

If you don't know me by now - Harold Melvin & The Bluenotes (Teddy was the lead singer) is one of the all time great soul songs from my Disco days of the 70's.

Steve Walklate is allegedly the cousin of an old flatmate of mine, although said flatmate occasionally made some of the classic fabrications on Uncovered ('Billy Sharp to join Darlo, my uncle said so' and the all-time-classic 'chatting to Tommy Wright at Doncaster services') seem like paragons of honest storytelling. I've wondered to this day whether he was telling the truth or not.

You will love this lads: last season Rory played for my 5-a-side team in North Shields, the mighty FC Gash.

Five appearances made, some decent performances, but he had no positional sense whatsoever. I thought he was quite good when at Darlo but we at the Gash deemed him not worthy of a longer term deal. Plus he went in the huff with me when he forgot to turn up to a decisive amtch and I bollocked him :D

I see one of our "one game wonders" scored the winner for Forfar against Elgin tonight. None other than Ian "Party" Harty, now at his 5th different club since leaving us 2 years ago.

I'd be surprised if he kept any clean sheets playing in front of liddle, aspin and tutill!

Correct. Didn't he go off injured, or get sent off or something?
