Chris Jones, from Donny played a few games in the 70s,
old centre foreward, scored a few.was ex York like Wann,Stone and Lyons.

how about Tom Paterson only played about 6 or 7 games got 2 goals,at times he looked a world beater, but most of the time rubbish

This will before your time Andy, but didn't Williams win some sort of footballers sprint challenge ages before he played for Darlo. Think every team put a player forward and he was fastest in the country.

Did Darlo put Mark Sunley forward or have I imagined that?

Seems he's diversified a bit...

[Probably just about work-safe enough, but I wouldn't go delving any further.]

"Parental Guidance" also probably advised.

Yeah, i remember that season very well, who could forget beating Hartlepool in the play offs. With the fans that couldn't make it to Victoria Park, the club put a big screen in at feethams for other fans to watch the game, gorr good times.

Andy, Sunderland Nissan no longer exist - they folded in the summer. Hodgson is now playing for Whitley Bay, I think.

a couple of others to add to this thread...

Steve McMahon, not the ex-Liverpool midfielder but the striker brought in from China.

There is another but I can't remember his name...Jordan something...ended up playing for Arbroath I think...

Did we have a youth team striker called Maddick who was drafted into play a game against Scarborough because of an injury crisis in the McEwan era? Not sure if he played more than five times or indeed, if I have just made him up.
