Re: Team news
Nick Chadwick? Where have i heard that name before? Also this does mean the end of the road for James and Starosta then.

Re: Team news
Very interesting. No Starosta or James, even on the bench, Bower and Arnison filling full back slots, Who's that up top with Thorpe? Also, which is Darren Williams? Is he another ex-Bradford player. Not another Poolie, I hope? Convery obviously impressing on the right, as he has another shot at RW. Is Chadwick not a winger? Possibly ex-Plymouth?

Re: Team news
I thought it was Luke Chadwick that played for Plymouth ?
Re: Team news
He did, but I'm not certain that Nick Chadwick didn't too. I also realise I answered one of my own questions there. Good start to posting on the new board - post number one and I already look clueless. Mint.
I reallhy recognise Chadwick's name from somewhere, have a feelng he's featured at both Plymouth and Sheff Weds, although that might be based on nothing more than a long-dormant Champ Man memory.

Supporting DARLO might be a heartache but it's a heartache I chose to have.

Re: Team news
Did start out with Everton but with Shrews last season
Re: Team news
Unfortunately he has hardly been prolific during his career but i suppose thats the sort of player we have to make do with.
Please i really do hope we don't sign Mr Convery....

Re: Team news
Clever move by Todd to make Lumsdon captain ahead of Miller. Especially while contracts are in the air.

Re: Team news
Chadwick started his career as a promising youth player at Everton, scoring 48 goals in 75 appearances in his first three seasons in the junior ranks.[1] He made his senior debut against Crystal Palace at the age of 18, and made his Premier League debut on 22 September 2001 against Sunderland.
Chadwick was highly regarded at Everton and tipped for a big future in the game,[2] but ultimately failed to secure a regular first team place at Goodison Park. He scored three league goals for Everton, all of which came in April 2002 against Bolton, Leicester and Blackburn. He had loan spells at Derby County and Millwall and featured regularly for the reserves, scoring 36 goals in 54 appearances in his last four seasons at Everton.[1] Having failed to secure a regular first team place, he was transferred to Plymouth Argyle for a fee of £250,000 early in 2005.[1] Despite regular appearances in the Plymouth Argyle first team, his goal scoring tally was less than prolific.
He scored Argyle's fastest ever goal after 11 seconds against Crystal Palace in a Championship match on 17 December 2005.
It was announced in April 2008 that Chadwick, along with five other Argyle players, were going to be released when their contracts expired in June. After trials with Walsall and Cheltenham Town, he signed for League One side Hereford United on 10 September 2008. He went on to score a penalty on his debut for the Bulls, against Scunthorpe United.[3]. On 8 January 2009 Hereford decided against renewing his contract and he was subsequently released, though he signed for Shrewsbury Town the day after on a contract until the end of the season.[4] He was released on 25 May after Shrewsbury lost in the League Two Play-Off final against Gillingham.

Re: Team news
That actually looks like a half decent side, plus theres still Foster to come back
Re: Team news
was just thinking that side looks pretty decent, not sure if we'll have the funds to bring in arnison, bower, chadwick, convery, williams tho, unless of course todd is being a tad economical with the truth about the budget being used already.
tells us all we need to know about james and starosta though doesnt it - see you later.
looks like arnison and bower will be our full backs for next season, had an incling it was going to be bower - from what i gather he's more of a centre half although todd did play him on the left at bradford.

Re: Team news
Where's Donniger? Anyone know why he's been on the bench the last couple of games but not made an appearance.
Re: Team news
doninger has more than likely left - after seeing his reaction at the end of the newcastle game i did think we wouldnt see him again and it looks like i was right, maybe todd thinks he's covered in midfield and needs the money elsewhere, still seems a bit daft to sit him on the bench for 2 games tho. i just hope he doesnt come back to bite us on our arse
