More congratulations; this time from Plymouth
More congratulations; this time from Plymouth
Always had a soft spot for you guys; delighted to see you get over the line.
Good luck for next season; hopefully one of my trips to the North East will enable me to pop along.

Yeah, and thanks for not mentioning 1996 at Wembley. Lived in Plymouth at the time and they never let me forget it.

Thanks, although the overwhelming emotion was relief; hopefully, next season will finally bring something to celebrate.Mr_Tibbs wrote:Cheers mate, and well done to yourselves for avoiding the drop!
It never even occurred to me although you have reminded me that I was in your end in 2000 so perhaps I'll do you favour and steer clear next time you're at Wembley!swadquaker wrote:Yeah, and thanks for not mentioning 1996 at Wembley. Lived in Plymouth at the time and they never let me forget it.

Yeah, Plymouth seem to have been struggling for a long time now, and are a big club to be doing so. I wish them well (but will never forget Ronnie Mauge, for all the wrong reasons)

Probably the most disappointed I have ever felt, that Plymouth game. A cracking Darlington side and we never turned up.
