Team Northumbria Game- Potential Champions

Post by davidcurrieclass » Fri Apr 19, 2013 8:19 am

This is earliest game we could be champions only need us to win at shildon and spenny to fail to win one of their next 4 games including the one on 27th april. Are there any plans to make this all ticket as I can see sell out for that game and loads of people who havent been reguarly making the effort to get their and hundreds being locked out or are we going to let them sneak in as theirs plenty of space

Thought it was all ticket already?

Fingers crossed that's the big day though. Who wants to win it on a Wednesday night?

Indeed, but at least on a Saturday you can go out and celebrate it afterwards without the fear of going into work the next day (unless you're unlucky enough to work on a Sunday, I suppose!)

Sod that, I need it won as soon as possible!! I cant take any more.Yet another evening yesterday where you can tell its getting nervous because the website slows right down. Any of the mods know how many viewers there are worldwide towards the end of these games to make the site so slow? Its like its laughing at me, saying something is happening but I am going to make you wait. I was convinced it was another 3-2 to Spenny until it came up the other way.

I haven't pulled all the exact figures but purely in terms of visitors, yesterday was the busiest day of the year so far - over 6,500 visits. About 6,499 of which were at about 9:45pm, probably

EDIT: Have just broken it down hourly. 10% of the traffic for the whole day was between 9 and 10pm, and the graph was trending upwards towards that peak from 7pm onwards.

So what are the arrangements for TN? Pay on the door but advance tickets available?

Yeah exactly, we need to get past Shildon first.

We could easily lose or draw there. Let's just make sure we get the 3 out of 3 so there is no doubt.

If we beat Shildon and Team North does that mean we are champions regardless on how Spenny do or would it still go to the last game if Spenny dont drop points till then?

If we win our next two games then I think we'll be champions after Team North if Spennymoor drop any more points next week - we currently have 2 on them - if they were draw again that would leave them 4 behind.

This is how it stands now (click image for a bigger version):

I haven't put the other dates in because I'm too lazy.

So according to the table if we beat Shildon and Team North and Spenny either draw or lose to Ashington on Thursday then we're surely Champions on 27th April!?!

If they draw against both Hebburn and Ashington then they could only get the same number of points as us if we win tomorrow, so a point against TN would be enough to seal the championship.

If they lose one of those games and draw the other we will be champions before we set foot on the pitch against TN.

Assuming the NL and FA don't decide to shaft us.

Here you go lads - have a play with the spreadsheet...

Download

Remember that there's no allowance for goal difference - it assumes that Spenny will not claw back that difference. Just put W, D, or L in the relevant columns and see what that does to the central column. If a date turns green it means that it'll be all over (bar any goal difference) if we win on that date.

I really want Spenny to drop 2 points this week no more though. I want us to need to win against TN to be champs. Don't want to be celebrating after a draw, only Bishop Auckland do that.
