What about....
An uncovered fund (forgive me if this has already been mentioned) say about £5-10 per month per person, even if we only get 100 doing it that £500-1,000 per month and we keep it in a bank account and at the start of every pre-season give it to DFC as fundraising income or keep saving till the club needs it.

Re: What about....
Think this was sort of mentioned before. I'm up for it, or something similar. I would happily give 10 or 20 quid a month into a fund specifically set up as funds for the club.

Re: What about....
Its doesn't have to be £5-10 as much as anyone can afford really or if you are flush one month put some more in or even if kids want to put a pound in every little helps just in case, as we are shareholders and we should really have some capital behind us. (uncovered I mean)
Although everyone has put £100 or more and it is quite an amount in todays money and its amazing we have 800 or so CIC members, we can't think that's me saved DFC, we have to be in it for the long run till we pay off the debt and DFC can stand on its own 2 feet without having to ask supporters for help. (Hope this makes sense and i'm not getting at anybody)

Re: What about....
This is a great idea and I'd be up for £5-10pm
Re: What about....
Count me in - always nice to have a slush fund, would rather it be held in an uncovered account that CIC/DFC at the moment.
If someone can sort the finer details I'll set up a DD

What finer details do you need Divas?divas wrote:Count me in - always nice to have a slush fund, would rather it be held in an uncovered account that CIC/DFC at the moment.

Re: What about....
Perhaps people that do do this can then be awarded with something like a different colour forum name (like Uncovered FC). Sounds sad but any incentive that could be done by the guys who run the forum might help.

Maybe some who is well respected on uncovered would like to use their bank account, you can certainly use my wife's spare account which she isn't using as she has another account.

Can it be a PayPal account (or have a linked PayPal account)? I'm happy to chip in, but PayPal is way easier for me.divas wrote:A bank account to pay it into.

Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.

Re: What about....
I was banging on about setting something like this up a few weeks a go, got some positive and negative reactions, so iam glad to see it is back on the agenda, i know Hilly was against it saying we should join the lottery if we had money to spare, so i am pleased to see that the realisation of the need for a proper fund is gaining momentum. My basic plan was this.
AMOUNT 75,000
NAME GOAL DUST
So there you have the challenge for this site to raise 75K in 3 years to go towards our new home, we could wait 2/3 months for the board to let us know what the options are, it could be 6 months, they have the ongoing job to get the best deal for us, we need to start work.
75K seems alot of money, if we had 500 members who put a pound a week in, with in 3 years we would have 78K, in the 6 months we are waiting for the board to complete negotiations we could have 12K. Some might want to put in more, all the better.
The name DUST stands for DARLO UNCOVERED STADIUM TOTALIZER the goal is just a play on words "gold dust"
So are you in or out?
Anyway i still have my 50 pounds to put in so lets get it going.
