O T. Fred or KP ?
It is a well known fact that batsmen put you into a position to win a game, bowlers win you a game.
So with this in mind, the injuries they have and current form which one would people be happiest to have to leave out of the team should it be required ?
COD me and you are not allowed a vote on this one

Re: O T. Fred or KP ?
I'd leave Pietersen out, i rate the lad but on current form Flintoff is once again our best player
Re: O T. Fred or KP ?
Can i have them both and drop someone else please?
KP is our best player and could easily go out and score 200 (if his brain doesnt fail!) Freddie is our shock bowler and we need him to support the others. I think we would struggle more without Freddie.
Mind you KP or Bell or Bopara or a. n. other? mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm tough one!

No you cant, basically if we have to lose one to injury, the choice is yours Fred or KP.
See you have fallen for the KP myth

Re: O T. Fred or KP ?
Bit of a no brainer isn't it - it's got to be Fred on current form. I'd still have KP in my team any day though.

Definately a no brainer now - he's out of The Ashes.Hilly wrote:Bit of a no brainer isn't it - it's got to be Fred on current form. I'd still have KP in my team any day though.
Re: O T. Fred or KP ?
KP is out o fthe ashes, just had an op on an achilles injury and he will be out of action for 6 weeks.
Re: O T. Fred or KP ?
No - i think i said i would take Freddie becuase he is our strike bowler and scares the Aussies. KP IS our best batsman but he is prone to brain fade on to many occasions. To the casual fan batting is the main atttraction. They dont understand the nuances required by the bowler or the physical toll it can take on your body.Norm_D_Ploom wrote:No you cant, basically if we have to lose one to injury, the choice is yours Fred or KP.

Its acedemic now anyway becuase KP is out for the rest if the Ashes. So we no doubt get Bell instead
Re: O T. Fred or KP ?

Re: O T. Fred or KP ?
I'd have said Fred too!
But the loss of KP is massive to our batting.
I stand by what I said on loidland, we.ll struggle to win the Ashes without KP!

"Beefy reckons KP may miss the rest of the series through injury, if that's the case we'll lose the series (even if we win this test)." Quote COD on Loidland....comeondarlo wrote:I'd have said Fred too!

Struggle or lose which one is it?

Re: O T. Fred or KP ?
Probably Bell, but they could shock us and pick Denly or Key to bat at 3, which would allow whichever one of Bell or Ravi they choose to bat at 4 or better still 5 where they would be much better suited.RH79 wrote:No - i think i said i would take Freddie becuase he is our strike bowler and scares the Aussies. KP has got 153 runs so far in 4 inns, he is considered by most as our best player and untouchable.comeondarlo wrote:I'd have said Fred too!

Cook has got 143 and his place is supposed to be under threat ? where is the logic in that ?
Strauss & Colly aside I feel our top 7 has been second best so far, in terms of batting
Re: O T. Fred or KP ?
Flintoff. He's the heart and soul of the team and is on great bowling form. I think the Aussies fear him more than they fear KP.

We will be playing at the arena again next season - fact.
Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.

Re: O T. Fred or KP ?
KP failed to show in the first 2 tests that he's the most indispensible man in the team. Presumably Bell will replace him, but I say BRING BACK ROBERT KEY!!! He can sweat the Aussies into submission.
