Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.

I heard this last night too. Not good news . . . our best hope will be that he may want to stay in the north east

if todd manages to pull off the signings of franks and waghorn i'll worship him forever, these lads have done very well in pre-season and franks could easily find himself involved in the boro squad, while waghorn could no doubt find a championship/league 1 club that would take him, thats if bruce doesnt want to stick him in the first team squad himself - he'd probably be 4th choice behind Jones, Campbell and Healy at the moment.

if we miss out on him there's always david downson who spent a couple of months on loan with chesterfield last year and scored 3 in 9.

Was very impressed with Waghorn last Thursday, hopefully the prospect of him playing regular first team football at us is more likely...and more appealing for both club and player.

The experience he would gain from playing alongside Windass may also be tempting for Sunderland.

I see the Mackems have pulled out of the Crouch chase

If we don't get Waghorn I think Todd will go after Nile Ranger from Newcastle.

They've got a decent young striker at Carlisle at the moment called Cook who scored freely last year in the youth/reserve team and is doing it now in pre season friendlies. I know this because my mate used to train him and keeps an eye on his career. He was at Middlesbrough but he was released because he was told, all he can do is score goals.
