Whats peoples thoughts on the top 3 this year ?
1. Jenson Button
2. Jessica Ennis
3. Bradley Wiggins.

Looking at the present odds available and I think the top 2 places are already taken, the value bet is for third place. Murray is 7-1 and Wiggins is 20-1 just for a top 3 position. So either could be worth a punt.

Jenson Button
Jessica Ennis
Beth Tweddle

I'd say Mark Cavendish is probably a better outsider than Bradley Wiggins

There could well be another late surge like last year when Chris Hoy won it from Rebecca Adlington.

Any fucker can drive a car fast, the winner should be Jessica Ennis.

You might be right about Cav being a better outsider but he has not got a top 3 price on oddschecker and therefore is probably expected to get third. I just think Wiggins price is tempting at 20-1.

I expect the top 3 will be Andrew Strauss, Jenson Button and Jessica Ennis, but I don't know in which order. Lewis Hamilton didn't win it last year when he won the F1, but that was probably mainly down to him being an arrogant cocksocket. Button comes across as less of a dick though, so I wouldn't rule him out. Strauss will definitely be up there too, given that he captained an Ashes victory and was arguably our best player throughout the series.

Its bound to be Jenson Button, which will probably miff Lewis Hamilton, who only came second last year after winning the World title.

Hamilton came second to someone who won three gold medals. Button will win it this year.

Hamilton effectively shat on his own strawberries when he buggered off to Switzerland, claiming it was being followed the paps everywhere, before finally admitting it was more to do with the cents in the Swiss Franc tax rate - it kind of gave people the impression he was shallow, venal, money-grubber.

[Button, has of course been domiciled in Meccano for some time now, and for much the same reasons, but wasn't crass enough to fabricate the reasons for him living there]

Perhaps their could be a separate sporting tax exile of the year award.

No lol, I just can't stand cricket and am sick of hearing his name all the time. Plus, his voice is really annoying and he's just got an annoying face. All perfectly legitimate reasons to hate a man, no?

I think it will be Button as his sport is covered by the BBC. I think Beth Tweddle deserves a mention.

British World Heavyweight Champion? They'll eat that up! The boxing know nowts will also make out like beating Valuev was a significant upset given his size, ignoring the fact that he's painfully slow, sluggish and pretty much awful. He got a gift decision over a 40 something year old Evander Holyfield in his last fight, and make no mistake, Holyfield beat him! Obviously Haye will beat Valuev easilly, landslide on points, and while this doesn't merit winning SPOTY, I think he'll be in with a shout due to what a big deal everyone makes about the Heavyweight division, in spite of how utterly dross the division has been since Lennox hung em up.
