Full Time 4-2, happy days, though Purewal should have made it 5.

Mightily relieved to see us comeback. Title race is still alive, just.

Why do we always struggle against the poorer sides away from home, particularly when we put in such a good performance against Spennymoor a week ago?

Because they park the bus and catch us on the counter

Not as simple as that. We always up our performances for the big games, and yet struggle against the weaker sides (e.g. Team Northumbria, Newton Aycliffe are perfect examples).

It just seems we drop off when we travel to sides where theoretically, we should do well.

Made it look like a hard result today when norton looked to me the worst team we have played so far. Don't no what his name was who partnered dowsun upfront today but didnt look anywhere near, purewell shud have started in my opinion. Galbraith didnt look his normal self and davis did ok thought maybe his fault for the 2nd goal for norton. Nevertheless it's another win for the lads will be a lot tougher game come Saturday against bishops would start purewell instead off the new signing for definate and hopefully Gott is back fit. Norton put 2 pound today on normal ticket prices disgrace!

It was win, but not a good day at the office. Not sure why Nathan Thomas played up front, still we got the 3 points thats the main thing.

Isn't he the lad that looked sharp on the Wing against Spenny.

Purewal is the only target man and it's not something he dominates in either but is better than others.

very very poor game today, looked like 2 teams at the bottom not one. on a bad pitch granted. really cant understand why MG puts purewal and emms on the bench unless they carrying knocks, at least we looked a lot better when they where on the park, kept the ball better and had opitions, we missed gott today. only highlight of the day was tomos goal.
I think half the managers in the northern league could have done what gray has done with the budget he has had, don't think anyone should get carried away, the next 3 years will prove him as a manager not this northern league season. I'm as happy as anyone that darlo are heading in the right direction.

I think those changes were more to do with Saturday, if we get the win Saturday then his plans worked.

Bit of perspective needed I think. Worst type of pitch to play on, very heavy, unbelievably bobbly and gave neither team any chance to play football. We started well and should have been a couple up until they bundled an opener in. We were then poor for a spell before totally dominating in the run up to half time and equalising.

Second half we mullered them to be frank. How they managed to get a second is a worry when they only had about 20% of the ball. We squandered a number of chances but eventually scored a few.

If that had ended up 7-1 they couldn't have complained. 4-2 made it look just about right. Not saying we were outstanding or anything, but we were really at least a couple of goals better than them, probably more.
