A loss is fine in this one as it allows us to concentrate on the league.

Conserving a shared pitch, resting players, or just OLD DFC poor PR? (e.g. newly returned fans disappointed, wasting revenue when supposed seaking funds, not suppying the JJ lad with ammo from midfield). Anyway 45mins to go, so maybe a Darlo first team style recovery!

Absolutely shocking performance. Yes we had a poor team out, but still awful!

Most of them could bench press about 80kg for 8 reps.

We were poor, Spenny should have won by 5 or more
"At a meeting held at the Grammar School on Friday last - Mr Phillip Wood M.A., in the chair - it was resolved to form an Association Football Club for Darlington and neighbourhood. The opinions of those present were so unanimous as to the desirability of this step, that a committee was formed to complete the organisation of the club, and Mr Craven, 17, Garden Street, was appointed secretary pro tem." - The Northern Echo, Monday 23rd July 1883

That was so easy for spenny, it looked like they could step it up at any minute, darlo chasing shadows first half
