What I like about this team is how it just scores one after the other rather than protecting a 1 goal lead

Note to opposition - don't go 1-0 up v Darlington, it only makes us angry.

Bishop Auckland 0 Hebburn 1

West Auckland is 2-0 not 3-0

Disappointing to only score 4.

Only joking! That's SIXTY goals in 17 games, and 29 matches left to break the 100 barrier!

Pretty poor first half today, got played all over the park really. The goal was just a cross-come shot which Norton could have done nothing about.

But the second half was fantastic! We battered them all half and we looked like the new Darlo who were driving on and on and on.

Fantastic at the end when the whole team came over and clapped all of the away support. Brilliant!

good 2nd half today, first half even until they scored, which was a fluke cross, Norton flapping, way off his line.
Gray must have given them a rocket at half time as we came out passing it much better and scored 4 good goals.
Thought Scott was very quiet today, but cant play well every game

Let's be honest very poor first half but some credit to synners. Emms coming on first touch goal was great then we pushed on and finished well, nice goal from Leon and great through ball by Thompson I think it was. Good to get gotts ban out the way as I think Scotty missed him today.
All in all I think that's a good result today, really big game ahead next weekend and I can see a 3-1 win on the cards.
I think half the managers in the northern league could have done what gray has done with the budget he has had, don't think anyone should get carried away, the next 3 years will prove him as a manager not this northern league season. I'm as happy as anyone that darlo are heading in the right direction.

Having better fitness that most if not all the other teams in this division is key. Most of these sides tire around the 60 minute mark whereas we seem to get stronger.

1st half we were slow out of the traps and casual at times. Billingham made it difficult for us as they kept breaking the game up with their players going down holding their faces every two minutes.

We were terrific in the second half and deserved more goals really. My man of the match was probably Gary Brown (again) or Thommo. Thommo is getting better and better as the season goes on.

Keltie had a great game when he came on. Pinging the ball all over the pitch. Shame when he gave the balk away once, some dickhead shouted how s*** he was. You could see Keltie was a different class when he came on today.

More people shouting s***? Put them in their place! The sooner people stand up to them, the sooner they stop doing it.

Agree with the consensus. First half shite, second half excellent. Gary Brown MOTM for me. Keltie was good when he came on too, didn't hear any abuse for him around me though, that was all reserved for Norton after their goal.

My first of the season today. Keltie was excellent when he came on, and that first ball for Thompson was absolutely perfect - Hoddlesque. His positioning was excellent, and he was always looking for the ball and trying to instigate things. Predictably, the one time he did give the ball away some old guy a few rows behind me cawed 'Keltie, you're shite.' Weird how, in twenty-plus years of watching Darlo, that critical voice has always sounded the same - maybe it's just one person.

We did well today, but it's dead weird watching Darlo at this level. Running track really affected the atmosphere too, as they always do.

I think it bodes well for the future that after a below-par first half they all clearly rolled their sleeves up, got each other fired up and were determined to put it right in the second. We simply mullered them in the second half but Synners deserve credit for a good first half in which they harried us all over the pitch and played a fair bit of decent football on the deck. By the end, though, they were a well beaten side.

I said we needed to improve at half time, and we didn't half improve!! Absolutely dominant in the second half. Some of the most dominant football I've seen any Darlo team play ever! Inspired by captain fantastic Gary Brown. Massive player for us. At the start of the season I thought he was a decent defender. How wrong I was. Like most other players he has improved no end. Thompson again influential.

I'm buzzing.
