was just about to put up a post about him, saying he'd been released and what would people's thoughts on him coming back here be

from what i remember he was woeful but once he got a run in the team after russell was injured he actually improved a fair bit - then got injured himself, which is coincidentally when david knight joined us, who then also got injured and we ended up with kasper schmeichel...

wouldnt have him back, he's a poor mans kevin gall (without the workrate) - not a striker cos he doesnt score goals, so ends up being played on the wing.

had to laugh at the jordan robertson comment in that article - he wishes he'd returned to sheff utd, rather than serving 32 months at her majesty's pleasure!

Where is Sam Russell these days - would love to have him back.

Yes, first-choice keeper at Wrexham, wearing '1'.

We missed a chance when he was training/trial in pre-season

over our current GK's i'd take Russell back, but im sure there's better out there, in fact i know there is, my problem with Russell was his lack of height and his command of his area, i just dont like small goalkeepers.

on an ex keeper note, i see dean gerken is putting in some stellar performances for bristol city, he's a very good keeper is that lad.

Except the other week when he failed to "notice" that the ball had beaten him and sent Warnock apopleptic .

I still think that Johnson and Logan switching wings in a cold night game ( I believe Barnet but im not sure) was the best display ive seen. Totaly dominated and the defenders were so confused about who to mark. Logan was/is a quality player and i dont think conferance is his place. Would love him back.

I'm sure theres plenty of footballers who will never forget "ole torpedofeet". most are probably still picking the studs out of there feet/legs/backsides.

Always entertaining when he was on the pitch. (unless I am thinking of someone else, which is possible after a few beers)

Not often I agree with you, because you're normally wrong, but you're bloody right there and I concur.
