Thanks, but won't seem to load for me. Is anyone else having this problem, or is it just me?

EDIT: Got it working now. Firefox didn't like it. Chrome was fine.

Well taken penalty by Reay.

Worked fine for me.

Seems Mr Irwin thinks Shildon are better than us, no idea myself yet.

Though the scoreline did flatter us, that's just blatant sour grapes.

Hmm, perhaps they'd better just drop the 1883 then?

1833!

Are we now officially the oldest team in the world?

In fairness they do on the league table and any individual stories about us. Whoever seems to write the snippets however fails miserably one way or another.

Yep. Some more here:

http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sport/ ... lington_3/?

He is perfectly entitled to think Shildon are better than us, but other stuff like:

"you'd think they've won the World Cup the way they went on"

is just such bitterness. Yes, beating Dunston is the pinnacle of a Darlington fan's life

I'd heard the "Shildon are better" line and just put it down to sour grapes, but the rest of it is just an anti Darlo tirade. What a bloody muppet.

The only think he didn't say was "you'll get a shock"

Let him think what he wants, we'll take the 6 points. Thanks for playing, see you next year.

Spenny will win despite the crowds and money at Darlo?

Sometimes its just not worth reading these things.

At our home match vs Dunston there were a couple of Dunston fans/officials (one had what looked like a UTS tie on) at the same table as me in the bar, they weren't very complimentary about our "arrogant" fans saying we'll "walk this league". There were only a handful of us in there at the time, so I doubt they heard it from a fan. I reckon they've bought into the NLZ view of us from the start.

A bitter Geordie?? No way, get away with ya son! I think Mr Irwin knows the pressure is on, Dunston being the club they are should not be languishing near the bottom of the table...good luck with the rest of the season but a bit of respect for a team that took their chances would go a long way.
