...last night from a holiday touring Italy for two weeks. Caught up with Twitter last night whilst traveling back for the latest Darlo news and just been reading the forum/watching YouTube to understand a bit more about yesterday's game.

Sounds like we were impressive once we shook off the early nerves? Looking forward to Tuesday night and the rest of the season.

Like the new site/forum layout, by the way - very impressive.

Bought a few Italian football shirts whilst over there (Fiorentina, Napoli, Roma and an Escape To Victory replica shirt from their Toffs equivalent - Old Soccer); had an interesting chat with a lady who ran a sports shop in Rome re: Macron - they do Lazio's shirt and I was explaining to her that they do Darlo's ("my team") shirt now.

Try explaining about Darlo, the Northern League and our expulsion from the Blue Square set up due to financial mis-management to a middle-aged Italian woman with limited English...it's bags of fun!

See you've picked up my disease of buying a football shirt from places you go to. My House is littered with MLS shirts from each city I've been to.

I think we froze a bit in the first half. We weren't appalling but we weren't great either. We lobbed a few too many balls forward at times. Think there must be have been something said at the break and the changes helped no end.

Hopefully its out of system now. Bishop were no mugs though and caused problems. On the basis of that showing they could have a decent season. Glad we did well in the second half in front of a decent crowd. Roll on Tuesday night.

The first half was understandable because.1 we are a new team with players all over the pitch making their debuts. 2 We were away to one the the bigger teams in the league who were up for it . 3 The pressure was all on our players and therefore not on Bishop's. It was our team's first competitive game together as a unit. I was more than pleased with the way it panned out and we are a better team today for it than we were prior to kick off. Roll on Tuesday night !
