If your unfortunate enough to have to catch the bus, the 31(i think) goes from Darlington, I must warn though, it takes a long time, it goes through Aycliffe, Sedgefield, The Trimdons, Peterlee then onto Sunderland through New Seaham...
I think the 31 is once an hour about :40 past the hour and takes close to 2 hours, if you are unlucky enough to have to get a bus, it stops at the Mill Inn over the road from the Red Star and the ground is a 2 minute walk from there, going back home the 31 goes from The Mill Inn round about :30 or :35 past the hour.
Alternatively, if you are coming from Bishop Auckland or Spennymoor you can get the X20 to Houghton Church, to get to Seaham the best option to be on time is the 8:19from Bishop, as follows
X20 to Houghton Broadway(arrives about 9:23 in Houghton) 203 Houghton to Seaham(leaves 9:37, arrives Mill Inn 9:49)
Alternatively, stay on the X20 all the way to Sunderland and then catch the 60 or 61 which is every 7.5 minutes combined and takes just over 10 minutes to the Mill Inn, going home, get the 60/61 back Sunderland and get the X20 back to Bishop pr Spenny, leaving Sunderland at 4 minutes past the hour.
One more bus option is the 65 from Durham changing either in Murton or Dalton Park and getting the 61(every 15 minutes) as the 65 does not goto the Mill Inn, it leaves Durham at 1 minute past, gets to Murton about 20 to the hour with a 61 due pretty close behind. Going back the 65 leaves Seaham at 1 minute past the hour, Dalton Park about 14 past and Murton Woods Terrace about 18 past.
If driving, there is not much in the way of parking, the best options being to park at Dalton Park Shopping Centre and get the bus from there or parking up at Seaham Grange Industrial Estate which is about a 10 minute walk to the ground.
Hope some of this helps
