Re: Over 400 season tickets sold!
Above my expectations as was the turn out today. It shows that people are still behind the club which is fantastic. 700 has to be the target for ST sales then all the pay on the day revenue is pure profit over and above the budgeted income.
Feeling really positive after today

Re: Over 400 season tickets sold!
That's fucking incredible.
I thought 5-600 ST's in total, with average gates of c1,000 would be very good.
We should bust the s*** out of that now.

Re: Over 400 season tickets sold!
lol just thinking - what if we approach selling 1,500? Not likely, but throw in concessions etc you never know. Will we have to cap it to enable pay on the day fans to attend?
I know it's unlikely, but it's not impossible is it? I guess this would be one problem the Board would actually like to get their teeth into.

Re: Over 400 season tickets sold!
I don't think we'll get this far, but there has to be the provision for non season ticket holders and away fans. Not sure what the percentage is though.MikeinBlack wrote:lol just thinking - what if we approach selling 1,500? Not likely, but throw in concessions etc you never know. Reall happy with this news.
Out of interest, how many seats are actually available in the main stand to season tickets? Take directors, press and disabled out of the equation, how many are left? We definately need that other stand.
Re: Over 400 season tickets sold!
Where do i buy my season ticket from, been away a couple of weeks .
Re: Over 400 season tickets sold!
I was told with the new stand (if we get permission for it) there will be 470 seats available so by my calculations that would would be 30 seats to directors and 220 in the main stand for us mere mortals. The majority of these I assume would go to the disabled and elderly.
I paid £195 for a seat today, however I dont envisage I will get to sit on one in the main stand.

Re: Over 400 season tickets sold!
Either in the market stall (announced next week sometime) or you will be able to purchase online in due course.
Dick, currently there is 28 seats reserved for directors in the single main stand, so that leaves around 170, think it holds around 200?

thanks quakersam
Re: Over 400 season tickets sold!
There's 250 seats with 28 director seats. I don't think our directors will be sitting in these as far as I'm aware but we may have to provision some for away directors although not sure on that. I'm hoping 15 of the directors seats will be reserved for corporate guests - match sponsors and the like.

The main stand has 250 seats so we left with 222 if 28 are reserved for directors and press

Re: Over 400 season tickets sold!
Lets start a campaign for Target 1000!
Add me plus a bairn to the 400.
Any more folk who didn't buy today but who will get one (or more)?
We could get some interesting figures over the next couple of days.
Also, and I am sure this 400 includes kids and concessions - 400 adult tickets brings in £60000.

Over 400 season tickets sold!
Me +1 both full price
Re: Over 400 season tickets sold!
I will be buying an adult + child...won't be using it, will likely get in touch with my old primary school (Abbey) and see if they will be able to give it to a different kid each week...Although have gotten in touch with Craig McKenna as I would be interested if there was a better way to distribute it!
Hopefully after 23 league games that's potentiall 46 new fans!

I think the police will have something to say about you using football tickets to lure a different kid to the match with you each week.........lo36789 wrote:I will be buying an adult + child...won't be using it, will likely get in touch with my old primary school (Abbey) and see if they will be able to give it to a different kid each week...Although have gotten in touch with Craig McKenna as I would be interested if there was a better way to distribute it!

@lo36789 - Brilliant idea!
I will consider, nay ponder, doing the same.
@Folks,
Please keep this about numbers of tickets - please do your scuffling elsewhere

I also didn't think even you would be weird enough to buy two tickets and then give them away.
Re: Over 400 season tickets sold!
Undecided on a season ticket myself as I'm not sure how many midweek games I'll get to - babysitting etc.
Might just get one anyway so the club's got my money.

Re: Over 400 season tickets sold!
Impressive that we've sold 400 STs. I was expecting maybe about that in total! There will be plenty more STs to sell too, so hopefully we can get around 700 or 800.
Tbh I was expecting a poor turnout today, but it seems like it was heaving. Which is good news as it means the interest is sill there!

Re: Over 400 season tickets sold!
I'm undecided too tbh, but I do quite like the idea of just rocking up as and when I can make it & trying to recreate those halcyon days back on the South Terrace, so hopefully the ST offer isn't too successful.mikkyx wrote:Undecided on a season ticket myself as I'm not sure how many midweek games I'll get to - babysitting etc.

Re: Over 400 season tickets sold!
I've got a bone to pick with you guys - when it says Open Day 10am - 4pm, I don't expect you pitching up at 9.30 and staying til after 4.30 buying season tickets non-stop!!! I think I managed a measly cup of coffee in all that time.
Seriously though, it was a fantastic day seeing a lot of old faces and meeting many new ones, too. I know the whole board for 1883 were ecstatic by the response from everyone today - so proud to be a Darlo fan.
