I couldn't make it to Bishop this weekend, but will be getting one as soon as there's some way to buy without making a trip up to Darlo...

I'm arranging to get tickets for some of the exiled DAFTS. 3 have been paid for already, with 2 more to add to that when the cheque & transfer arrive.
Alun's promise to the fans: “I’ll make sure I’ll bring players in that are value for money and I want players that want to play for Darlington Football Club, want to progress and move up the league and show the fans that passion.”

And for other exiles, postal and online applications will be coming very soon...

Haven't read all of the thread. I would like to know if the cornmill shop/ stand is going ahead so I can buy my season ticket. I'd like to by it sooner before the FA change our nickname to 'The Quackers', change our strip to Pink and Green, change our club badge to Donald Duck.

Me? Angry?
let's get a new FA. This one's broken.

Me and probably 3 others, with my eldest coming along to some games but not worth a season ticket for him as he may not be as passionate to stand behind the goal as I am.

How have 600 gone?
Is they a way to buy currently if so we need to let people know.

....466....
I would prefer to stick with what we, sort of, know rather than treat this 600 figure as real.
If 1883 provide official sales figures we can bump up the total.

34 to go to the magic 500 - any more for any more????

Well, Dear Keyboard Warrior,
You...
a. Never believe any of the polls on here ever have the slightest accuracy
b. Have no faith in Darlo fans (not sure who you support - this big village which you and I live in has its temptations)
c. Take a straw poll too seriously

....and finally, try using a bit of wit rather than just name calling - anyone can do that, there are plenty of websites out there to provide guidance in this area.

Why are you calling me a keyboard warrior? Because I pointed out the utter silliness of counting how many people on a messageboard have said their friend might buy a ticket? And then disregarding someone elses equally pie in the sky figure? That's a bit touchy isnt it?

I suspect it's because you know I'm right and you're a little bit embarrassed about this darlo_pete esque bout of post counting you've got yourself caught up in.

Over 400 sold on day one, and with the current enthusiasm I would expect us to double that for the start of the season. It would be fantastic if we could reach 1000.

The entire purpose of this "straw poll" is not intended to be accurate, it is in fact to give encouragement that season tickets will sell when the opportunity to buy comes along.
The more who buy now will encourage more to follow - simple sales and marketing.

A guy quotes 600 - well, it's possible though I have no idea how anyone could have bought one between last Saturday and now unless people who personally know the 1883 board have been going round their houses in huge numbers and buying them.
But if hurling insults makes you happy....
I prefer someone who comes back with a bit of challenging banter.

Let's keep this poll bumped folks and get the numbers going up.
Anyone know if a totaliser will be put up at some point?
...468... thanks hoppers!

I'm sure that one of the Board did mention that they hoped to have a season ticket totaliser up and running pretty soon. Can't remember which thread it was on though. Thing is, we sold 400 on day 1 and today is (for want of a better phrase) day 4, the fact that we are even talking about 500 or more season tickets within the first week is most encouraging.

Or for want of better accuracy, still close of business at the end of day 1.

I prefer people who dont make over 300 posts of utter nonsense in less than 2 months, attach a hilariously over inflated sense of importance to a make believe ST count, and then bleat about insults and keyboard warriors when its pointed out to them.

@Jazz, I am impressed on 2 counts here, firstly that you have read all my posts
and secondly that a straw poll has upset you so much.
I wonder what a real poll would do to you :o

1) I dont have much choice, you spam up nearly every thread with your insipid nonsense.
2) It would have no effect on me, as it would have a point and count for something.

Apparently a lockable stall has been arranged in the indoor market, starting this weekend. In future it will be open each Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. They will sell season tickets as well as other stuff, so onwards and upwards, people :P

My wife has informed me that it indeed is closed on a Sunday.
