Carlisle pursue £20,000 of the Quakers.
Darlington are reported to owe Carlisle £20,000 for the loan agreement for Danny Carlton.

They know they HAVE to be paid and we can't until Raj has bought the club.Ned_Flanders wrote:Darlington are reported to owe Carlisle £20,000 for the loan agreement for Danny Carlton.

It's a mischief article - sour grapes really - but like you I'm surprised at the size of the bill. Looks like we were paying him nearly £1000 a week and if that was (probably) a half then a lot of players are finding that the bubble has well and truly burst at this end of the football pyramid.
Rant continues.......and those twats in the premiershite don't deserve the inflated wages they get.

No one deserves £125K a week or whatever some of them are on.wylam_rangers wrote:

That's just fucking ridiculous.
It's almost like they don't know the value of money because they've got too much of it!

Nearly £1000 per week for Danny Carlton, whats this world coming to, yes i was happy with his performances for Darlo and he scored afew for us aswell but £1000 !!!!!!, no wonder we fell into the mess we were in shelling out that sort of money on players of Carltons calibre
Re: Carlisle pursue £20,000 of the Quakers.
i make it more than 1k a week, and that was just a "contribution" god knows what carlisle were paying, no wonder they as well are revising their budget for next season

How long was Carlton on loan with us, 4 months works out at £1250 a week, christ i'd glady miss the chances he was for only half of that

I really quite liked Carlton but why didn't we send him back once we went into administration? Thousands of pounds of needless extra debt . .
Looks like Carlisle are pissed off with us though . . does this mean Bridges is on his way here??

Didnt the likes of Gerken go back because we were paying there wages, pretty sure i read around the time infact that Hatch and Carlton stayed because there respective clubs were paying them

that is what I understood the situation was. Carlton and Hatch were staying and eventually were cleared to play because Darlington did not have to pay the players wages.

Like I said - there is mischief in the article - but even so, if one or both of us were paying a grand aweek.............
I start to wonder what DP was on.. I've just taken over managing Darlo on FM2009 and George Houghton has given me £1000 per week and a £0 transfer budget!

They cannot pursue anything that has not been varified in CVA. Paqt of agreement was players paid in full. So why the hell are you in a flap.Hilly wrote:Our contribution was £1127.84 a week to his wage at Carlisle.... How much exactly was he on?!?
Re: Carlisle pursue £20,000 of the Quakers.
I'd presume he is in a flap because Carlton is absolutely shite and was on at least £1,127.84 a week?
Why didn't they pick up the phone to me, I'd have been absolutely shite for half the money.

Re: Carlisle pursue £20,000 of the Quakers.
If we were paying that amount of money to Carlton then it adds further weight to the belief that we had a budget that was well above the figure some people would have us believe....
Re: Carlisle pursue £20,000 of the Quakers.
Will that 20K not be the loan fee ie a fee we pay for the short term transfer plus some of his wages bonuses etc?
Anyway - they are football creditors and will be paid - there is really no story!

No it doesn't it adds fuck all to any belief that you may have conjured up. £1,100 a week is 60 grand a year. Pay 30 players 60 grand and its £1.8 million. The playing budget was £2 million.darlo2001uk wrote:If we were paying that amount of money to Carlton then it adds further weight to the belief that we had a budget that was well above the figure some people would have us believe....
