I wonder if they get treated as a 'new club', get demoted 3 divisions and made to change their name? However, if fewer than 75% of creditors agree to the CVA, it is likely Green's consortium would attempt to relaunch the club by transferring its assets to a new company.

Fortunately for Rangers, they don't have to answer to the FA.
My guess is that they will be immediately voted back to the SPL by the other members.
But, we shall see.

Re: Rangers
Too much is in Scottish football's interest to keep them in the SPL;
TV revenue - without the 'Old Firm' games it isn't going to attract much of a deal
Money from gate receipts which is a crucial factor for probably at least 8 of the SPL
An attempt at a European run which, arguably Motherwell and St Johnstone won't achieve as easily.
Even Rangers with no money, a transfer embargo and a 10 pts deduction finished in 2nd, well ahead of Motherwell in 3rd place - imagine the scores they would get playing East Stirling and Clyde etc, would be a bit embarrassing for the SFA.
The away fans in comparison to the home fans would be comical, chaos would ensue - average crowds in Scottish Division 3 must be around 600 or so, if (when) 5 of 6 thousand Rangers fans pitch up it will be carnage - however every club in the league they're placed would get 2 home matches against them and would be set up for the year!
I guess we have to think how the FA would react if it were Man Utd, Man City or Chelsea for example - bet they wouldn't be in the lower reaches of non league lol.
Would think actually, the Premier League would tell the FA to do one if they tried to demote one of the big boys.

Re: Rangers
The sight thousands of Rangers fans descending on the likes of East Stirling, Stranraer, Annan and Arbroath would be a sight to see

The Sky deal for the SPL requires 4x Old Firm games. So if they arent in the SPL it gets torn up.
Rangers will get every bit of help they can get as it will be seen that the entire viability of Scottish Football depends on them staying in the SPL. Whether thats morally right or not is another issue. One that Livingston may choose to test in the courts....
Re: Rangers
Are Portsmouth in a similar situation? Would they be demoted to Blue Square North?

Re: Rangers
i know they wouldn't dare do it to a club like Leeds, otherwise their inbox would be a lot fuller
Re: Rangers
Possible punishment on the table for Rangers is suspension/expulsion from the SFA for bringing the game into disrepute.
The fans are willing to walk away from Scottish Football (especially premier league) if they get back in.
Saying that given what Romanov has said in the past, and the fact that he does say alot of contraversial things, he has been right in amongst the Rants that Scottish football IS corrupt, and his opinion of the Scottish/Glasgow media.

Re: Rangers
Jambo - if Rangers were expelled etc, would the Rangers fans go over to Northern Ireland to watch maybe Linfield do you think, or an English club or do they have close links with another Scottish club? Lol - Partick Thistle or Clyde may get an extra five thousand fans tagging on, interesting!
