No surprise we keep losing

Post by Comfortably_numb » Sat Mar 24, 2012 9:16 pm

I posted the below in response to the match thread post but feel so passionate i want to re-post:

" Sorry but I have to say - people need to ask why Rangers FC are also losing games they would've walked prior to Admin.

The impact of entering admin simply cannot be underestimated - and sadly some of us are forgetting this factor.

On paper rangers should still beat every other SPL team bar Celtic but are faltering massively. I see no surprise in our results and this won't change until we exit admin"

Sorry but I don't agree, our players are now receiving most of their wages and we've now got a decent enough starting XI. They've had enough time to get their heads around administration

I'll counter your Rangers scenario with Notts County

Rangers players are still getting several thousand of pounds a week whereas ours got nothing for months. Notts County werent hamstrung by this pathetic under 19 or unattached, one in one out rule.

I'm inclined to agree with divas, especially as out of today's starting XI six have joined since we went into administration.

We are running out of excuses now, I'm afraid.

Unfortunately our players don't show the desire or ability to stay up. We need to start all over again next year with Lidds in charge.

Administration puts up a massive obstacle by creating big demands on the squad. football these days is very much a squad game.

i. Too many young players blooded to soon.

ii Too many injuries as we continually have to recycle the same players which creates fatigue injuries. this leads to tinkering with team formation and basically a vicious circle. It is no co-incidence we has lost so many players to injury.

It's no surprise we keep loosing when we have diabolical referees like today week in week out!

Yep, need an experienced manager for the BSN next season - if we still exist. Lidds can go back to youth football where results don't matter, and where he feels he does his best work.

Our players simply seem to have give up. I think this is low point of many of their careers and could well be the final point in some. The younger ones may progress, assuming they are not emotionally scarred for life (in a footballing sense) after this season's embarrassing draw down.

We're all annoyed about results but your constant sniping at Liddle is pathetic.

It's the first snipe I've made. If you can call it a snipe...

We need the best and most experienced man we can get for the level next season - if we are here and if we are stable. Liddle is only doing this job out of duty, he never wanted it and still doesn't.

The rest of my comments have been questioning the team.

Quakerz is right. We do need a manager who knows the BSN next season, no disrespect to Lidds. I'm sure even he doesn't want it given his recent comments

I'd like Lidds to stay on, however Quakerz is right about one thing -- the cash share sales will never ever ever be added on to the Crowd Cube totaliser.

Re: experienced managers - haven't some on here suggested Neil Aspin would be good for us to take on - but wasn't he inexperienced when he joined Harrogate?

I'd defy lord god almighty to be successful in our current situation.

I'd rather lidds was allowed to go back to the youth set up primarily to make a profit for Tge club by producing saleable young players.

Tony Lee? I still remember him when he used to manage Bishop... Surely our sights haven't been lowered that far yet?

If Tony Lee is worth a mention, then surely Harry Dunn must be?
