I know that this is illogical, and it was great day, but nothing can compare with the smile on my face at Wembley, after all the troubles.Starting out that season we expected to do well, but last season was about survival, but what an amazing bonus.

I know a Rochdale fan that was at that game and he confirmed they all stayed behind at the end to applaud the Darlo team and fans. That game was one of the few games that Darlo haven't fired a blank in a massive game. Great memories.

I'm in numerous photos from that day as I was stood directly behind Smudger and Prud as they lifted the trophy to the fans below from the director's box. Mitch Cook gave me his can of beer to hold as the trophy was passed along the players.

As I've probably mentioned a few times on here, I still treasure the picture of me (holding the trophy, red faced flushed with excitement...), Smudger, Drew Coverdale and Ron Lamprell.

Happy days...

I concur - I was thinking about this today and the person who asked which was best out of winning the Trophy, the title or the play offs.

Logic says the title but then I got to thinking of my greatest single moment watching Darlo. I thought of Alan Walsh scoring his 4th aginst Hartlepool, The 6th going in at Macc, Robbie Painter at Leeds, Ron Furgusson's curling 35 yard shot against Sheffield Wednesday back in 77 (I think), and I reckon Chris Senior at Wembley tops them all.
