Re: Fundraising for players / Echo pay for team coach
Out of curiosity Scott, any idea how much we would have to raise to ensure that the Fleetwood game goes ahead? Now, if that can be done the monies from that and if it's a Fans Day, even better, could be used to maybe, with a good wind, see us through the month.
COME ON DARLO!
Re: Fundraising for players / Echo pay for team coach
I'd imagine a lot would depend on whether the players wanted paying before that game, and if so, how much.MikeinBlack wrote:Out of curiosity Scott, any idea how much we would have to raise to ensure that the Fleetwood game goes ahead? We will be playing at the arena again next season - fact.
Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.

if we can raise £640 in a couple of hours without leaving our armchairs etc....... coincidentally, I posted an idea on the into the breach thread, a long shot, but..
COME ON DARLO!
Re: Fundraising for players / Echo pay for team coach
Hmmm, £640 will more than cover MacDonalds for the travelling squad - £100-150 will do it.
This could get interesting, buy their food and divvy up the rest of the remaining cash between the 14 senior pro's? A cash in hand appearance fee, if you like? By my reckoning there's a brown envelope with at least £40 in it for every player so far...

Transferred the money across about an hour ago - any sign of it at your end, Scott?

I could be wrong, but I think PayPal send you an e-mail when your money is transfered.Hilly wrote:Transferred the money across about an hour ago - any sign of it at your end, Scott?
I suspect there may be a bit of a backlog due to the flurry of funds into Scott's account!

Good call. I've got an email at this end so it might have just got through.BishopQuaker wrote:I could be wrong, but I think PayPal send you an e-mail when your money is transfered.Hilly wrote:Transferred the money across about an hour ago - any sign of it at your end, Scott?

Re: Fundraising for players / Echo pay for team coach
Can everyone see the big yellow box at the top of the site OK? Scott will need to keep the roll call updated on t'forum but the big box is there for all to see now.
Re: Fundraising for players / Echo pay for team coach
Yep, can see it - says £780 raised, though Scott's role call says £820

Re: Fundraising for players / Echo pay for team coach
Great work everyone, and thanks. Let's keep it going. Only comment would be that we might want to amend the wording on the fantastic ticker at the top of the board. If we say we are trying to keep the players paid etc we a going to fail....we are, I think, trying to support the players and Lidds and show our support. It's intended for their match day costs and almost as a cash fund for them to use for lunches/ drinks/ lucozades/ fish and chips etc. put in that context it'll go a good way. I think paying the wages might be a bit above our targets!
Can I just say, this thread has made me feel so proud of DarloUncovered, DFC fans, the players and the bloody whole human race.
Well done everyone.
Keep pledging!

Re: Fundraising for players / Echo pay for team coach
Have changed wording m62, how's that for ya?
Re: Fundraising for players / Echo pay for team coach
Of course paying the wages are above our means but the money can be divvied up after buying their matchday meal? And it's something for them for turning out at Barrow.
We're half way to giving them £100 each, it's not going to pay the mortgage or any bills but it'll put food on their tables next week.

Re: Fundraising for players / Echo pay for team coach
Mikkyx, that's word perfect. And I've paid now. Ironic to think I would be the first to do so, and now so many have done so first.
Well done darlouncovered.

Re: Fundraising for players / Echo pay for team coach
What's with this matchday costs stuff? The administrators will expect us to turn the money over to them...
I thought we were raising a few quid to get the players some grub!
