That'll do Mikky, leave it as it is.

Let's see how much we can raise!

Maybe the trust can stick a couple of quid in?

Quakerz wrote:Of course paying the wages are above our means but the money can be divvied up after buying their matchday meal? And it's something for them for turning out at Barrow.

We're half way to giving them £100 each, it's not going to pay the mortgage or any bills but it'll put food on their tables next week.
Yep, no problem with that Quakerz, but if we start by trying to get lunch for the players, as we did, and end up with more we can divvy up here thats fantastic, we'll have overachieved. Frankly, I'm happy for Lidds to use the cash for whatever he sees fit with the players. The main objective was to show our support, which I think we've all done.

Everyone's done great, let's keep it with that remit.

Irony of this being that earlier this evening I drafted a post first and then deleted it because I wasn't sure whether the response would be tumbleweed. I had too little faith. Well done everyone.

That's an awesome effort so far.
If we'd of had more time i was going to say anyone that didn't want to PayPal could've dropped money off at the RA (i'd of sorted this with Bushead), and i would have happily covered that with a PayPal transfer for that amount, but i' thinking time is against us.
Anywho keep up the excellent contributions people!

I don't have a paypal account lads, but £25 is coming your way via a mate of mine's account (P Jasper).

Well done again to M62 for setting the ball rolling and Scott and Mikky for making it happen.

I'm not going to Barrow, so will chuck in the price of the ticket. Is it £15? I don't have Paypal, and don't know anyone who does. Is there anywhere I can drop the cash off?

£50.00 sent Scott.
I am just an average fan who does not want his club to die, she may have let me down at times over nearly 40 years, but I am still standing proud to support Darlington Football Club.

Wha? The server? Paid for later this month. My baby? Money ready for that. I can spare some for the lads who are representing this club for nothing at the moment.

£10 in from me too. I applauded Lids and the players 'til my hands hurt before the Gateshead match, but I hope this is a more practical way of letting them know how we have valued their professionalism and honour over what's been an awful couple of months.

Oh and while I've been typing this a Sunderland fan in the office has come over and dropped an additional £10 in. "Football eh, bloody hell!"

Mark Chapman has been made aware of this.
Hopefully get a mention on Final Score and MOTD this weekend.

I Tweeted MOTD and I know others are contacting other people to get the word out.

£2,435 in half a day or so. This is mental! Doesn't include the £200 from England's number 1 either, does it?

£3k by end of play tonight? £3.5k?!

I just tried to set up a Paypal account - turns out I've got one already! Christ knows when or why I set that up!!

Anyway, Scott, you should have my £15.

I have been a board reader for some considerable time now but have never felt enough of a connection to sign up since I moved away from the NE over a decade ago. I still make it to a couple of home games a year with the old man when I am back visiting and the odd away game each season). I won’t be at Barrow :( so I’ve put the ticket price towards the lads as it’s the least I can do.

If the boxing day match at Gateshead was the last match I’ll see this season, then I just want to say thanks to all of the squad for their efforts that day and over the last couple of months in the face of adversity and uncertainty you are all legends I hope you know how much the fans appreciate it.

Whatever happens after this weekend, and whatever the future holds for the Darlo (whatever form that is in) then count me in. The groundswell of support is truly overwhelming and has restored my faith!

Come on Darlo!
