Very good point and question, and until the club actually make some sort of statement then we are all just going to have to wait and see. Suspense!!

The cost to the club will be far greater if we lose 10 points and get relegated.

Hmmm, putting companies into administration and liquidation never stopped Houghton getting piles of credit at DFC which he loaded against the club.

Where there is a will there is a way.

Houghton's previous insolvencies were a few years back before DFC. A member of my family knew him at the time.

might as well hang fire as some people have said until an official announcement - after all admin atleast means they are looking to sell the club as a going concern...if its CVL then it is lock up the gates and goodnight. I am interested to know if the consortium were to buy off an administrators what value they would put on the club, after all CVL will literally mean 0p in the £ for creditors...admin could literally yield 1p in the £ but I suppose it's something - and in all likelihood Singh is the major creditor I would hazard a guess so he is probably going to have the deciding vote on who gets appointed as administrator. I don't actually know if this changes a great deal and administrator can only take money that is there...hold tight.

Jamie Chandler "Why man!? Did we really deserve this? One month was all we needed..."

Adam Rundle "Gutted"

Brown "Looks like i'm eating my fingers and toes this month"

All tweeted today!

And could be taken two ways but probably in light of admin Wally says: "The decision to stay and fight or jump ship turned out to be a good one. #gladiquitmyjob" 20 minutes ago....

'hopefully' being the key word, it is painful to watch.

I would think it's just a case of them thinking everythings going to turn out OK, to some DFC going out of business is impossible.

...we'll just wait - clutch straws whatever. I accept that the tweets look ominous...but until we get an official statement well there just doesn't seem any point. it's all hot air in my eyes. I know this seems a more severe situation than last time out but in all honesty the same speculation was flying around before Singh took on the burden himself. There may be others just sitting in the stalls and just biding there time, these things do take time after all to get proper propositions in place.
Was it the Mayan's who predicted the world would end in 2012, who ever thought that they would be Darlington fans! I don't want to support Darlington 2012 or FC Darlington or Darlington Town or whatever name emerges, I want to support Darlington FC 1883, FA Trophy Winners 2011 - so until that final nail goes into that coffin I will keep clutching on the straws!!
Don't really think it's fair that people get slated for literally just trying to cling onto every last bit of optimism in a situation!

Wrexham fan in Peace.

I hope everything gets sorted out. Very sad to hear of what's happening to you. Clubs need to be run by people who have the right attitude. I hope you pull through and are run in the future by the fans/ community and we meet each other in a football league fixture soon.
