I see Bishop announced on their official site that they have agreed a two year deal to share with Darlo.

We were told one year with an option for a second.

Getting back to Darlo in 1 year was never going to be realistic so I'm not surprised, but why keep up the pretence?

That 2 year deal has been quietly ushered in, under everyones radar.

Wasn't it a year contract with the option of a second? That's how it was originally reported.

I can confirm that it is a 1 year deal with an option for a second year.

:( Could 1883 Please, Please announce any plans they have to get our club back to darlo, Playing outside of town is not what we fought so hard to save

Got to be two years out of town max ! and in the first year we need a clear plan and path home. 200k would go a long way towards getting the foundations of a new ground built, but it is being used to pay historical debts so cant see how we are going afford a new ground in Darlo, we cant keep asking fans to put their hands in their pockets so without the councils help or money from covenant release funds then I fear years of nomadic football ironically like the last 10 years of Bishops history.

I will be easy to get comfortable in our cheap ground share and winning games in the Northern league and I see it as chance to regroup for a year but saving Darlo is about saving (professional) football in DARLINGTON, bishop, shildon et all already have their own teams and we want ours back

Ted, moaning on won't make things happen any quicker. Reality is still reality.

I am moaning but I`m still here, got to keep this issue highlighted as its as important as winning the FA appeal or promotion.

When I see a plan for our return home then I can focus on that and put some energy into making it happen.

Everyone knows it's important to get back to Darlo ASAP. The people in charge of that area need time to get plans sorted. There are more pressing short term issues.

there are pressing issues and Im saying within the first year we need at least a clear plan and path back to the town. I dont expect to be playing back in town unless the arena becomes available as it will take a year or so to build a new one.

Ted, the plans are still at an early stage, unfortunately some things need to take priority and getting this season sorted properly has had to take precedence.

Ian Wilkinson is looking at a number of options of where we could play in town next season but clearly the outcome of the appeal will have a bearing on what options are viable and which aren't.
If we are in level 5 the ground requirements are lower than if we get Evo Stick Prem and could end up being back in the conference the following year.
I admire your enthusiasm for the team to be back in Darlo and it is a view shared by the board.

Cheers Craig I do understand there are more pressing matters, and your reply fills me with hope, as this is what I would be doing as well.

I realise the difficult position you/we have found ourselves in, personally I never thought it would come to this without being a phoenix club.
I will help where I can with the return home to Darlo.
