Just a curiosity, I'm assuming the three candidates are likely to be Graeme Lee, Martin Gray and one of Tait/Toman. I was just wondering whether we've thought to look outside the box a little in terms of looking at the potential of managers at Spennymoor/Whitley Bay or casting the net further instead of the usual suspects? We've surely had more than the 3/4 candidates mentioned above interested in the job yet they all have Darlo connections?
Have we advertised the job to the LMA/EvoStik etc? I will back whoever comes in but this appointment is absolutely crucial for the future and someone like Ainsley at Spenny would show the ambition of the club. Have we asked if he'd be interested?

Jason Ainsley is under contract at Spennymoor. Not suggesting he has been considered, of course .....

I would imagine most managers at nl level don't have any kind of contract, but if you want exciting, attacking, winning football I've told you who you need !!!

Suggested this a while back, think everyone is set on Lee or Ainsley though.

Obviously I cannot discuss individual candidates but there has been alot of interest in the Managers post. Craig Liddle has been extremely helpful and so has Ray Simpson and the word is certainly out that there is a vacancy. We can't just poach someone who is under contract though but we are confident that the right person will be picked for the job.

Hi Tori

Can you go into any more details-obviously don't want names, just wondering what "lots of interest" means from a numerical point of view.

Thanks

In terms of numbers, we have interviewed 3 so far but expressions of interest are still coming through, just received a further one today in fact. I suspect many may be waiting to see what league we are placed in.

Thanks for the quick reply Tori. Let's hope our division next season means more healthy interest :D
