no need to, it was never upto date, and boring, this site is better by a country mile.
and the 1883 forum can be used to inform all darlo fans the ins and outs of whats happening.

come on darlo

No disrespect, but I hope that this site isn't the official Football Club website

a) i'll bite. why?
b) it won't be. this will continue to be the leading unofficial site.

(although we will try to tie in the official site more closely where possible.)

I agree with TS3. I think the official site should be a place of news stories, services, interviews etc. Official sites should be able to criticise if necessary and praise when it's due.

More link up would be good, but I think they should be separate! Although of course you've said it's going to carry on being unofficial, so my post is a bit pointless

A new OS (or at the very least much revamped) would be good. I believe there's money making opportunities being missed with the OS. (eq Quaker player). Obviously, this will be far down the list of priorities at the moment I'd guess, but it's something to consider when we are back on our feet.

I too don't think that this should become the official site. It benefits from being unofficial which allows a greater deal of freedom to have your say.

If we are to attract investments its pretty important the message coming from the official site is all positive. Some of the negativity from some of the discussions on here would be completely out of place.

Pretty much like what al_quaker said.

So, this is going to be one of /those/ statements.

I don't want to offend anyone but...have you actually looked at this site as an outsider? There are so many people with their own agenda's to either misinform or cause arguments that the message is often lost.

The club needs something that will give facts and figures, details of matches, even a club shop. In other words a site that can safely be used by visiting fans, the media, and others to find out what is happening at the club.

A few years ago, there was an official 'unofficial' DFC site which did all the above alongside the official one.

This site should be kept as a forum for the club but we need a news/factual site.

Excellent. Is it going to be a bespoke website so to speak, or are we still going to be part of the player (or whatever it's called!) network?

Laura has had to take a couple of personal days, apologies for the slow response. I should have picked this up and responded.
LD is handling the website strategy moving forward and will pick it up on her return.

I think he was talking about Uncovered not the official site

On another note, how come the OP can't spell "web"? His question should be dismissed for that.

As for the opinion expressed about Darlo fans… meh. It’s just the same old thought-averse guff that every other pointing, gawping, Northern League villager with an axe-to-grind / pitchfork-to-shake has cobbled together about us.

When you look into the NCE it does look like a significantly better run organisation than the Royston Vasey Invitational Clown Challenge that we've ended up in.

Wait, this isn't a discussion about our new Robert Webb fan site? Tsk.

I like the look of PITCHERO

Looks very easy on the eye and it very easy to admin. Just a thought but this is free for a basic site which could very fully up and running in a hour or so. When the profits start coming in, it is easy to upgrade and put your in feel on it.
