Re: Bradford PA...

My dad used to say to me as a kid ... if you miss penalties you deserve nothing out of a game. Thommo needs to pass the baton over to Campbell, his recent penalty was very composed. Shame we couldn’t convert the penalty and just one of those many attempts. Big over reaction to the last two games, we...

Definitely a poor tackle and I think the defender seems to lose his footing.

Rivers isn’t clean through.

It’s not a clear red but certainly deserving of one.
Watched it again ... straight red. No questions.

Re: Altrincham

Happy with a point yesterday. I think playing against 10 men is never easy. A win on Monday and we’ll be off to a good start.

It’s great to see Goater watching, I like both these Bermuda lads, they both have a lot of potential.

Don’t Stockton have a sugar daddy as well? They have a great set up built around a plastic pitch.

Re: International duty

Squad is already depleted so could do without this. How many internationals to get the matches called off? If it’s three we could get Styche back.

Re: Darlington V Southport

I think he has to bring Tez back in and Donawa for Thommo. I’d say that’s not a vastly weakened team from the one that beat Kettering. I think Atkinson isn’t fully fit, wouldn’t be surprised to see him get 10-20 minutes.

2-1 Rivers, Campbell

Mom - Hatfield

Re: Curzon Ashton v Darlo

If Atkinson is going for those headers he isn’t sitting in front of the defence.

Thankfully we have a good manager in Alun who can sort it out. We just sit back, relax and watch it all unfold.

Re: Curzon Ashton v Darlo

This Atkinson fella must be superb if he could have stopped those goals, looking forward to seeing Viera, Toure and Kante rolled into one! 1. Daft free kick. Header onto the bar (keeper could have tipped it over?) and then Liddle out jumped. Header looped in. 2. Hatfield goes for the header and miss...

Re: Darlington V Kettering

Great game that. O’Neill was very effective and tracked back getting his foot in. The simple change of Bascome for Holness allowed Hatfield free reign. He also made himself available to the defenders so they weren’t forced into a long ball. The wingers were receiving the ball in positions where they...

Re: New Striker

Just like Man City and Liverpool with their giant Centre forwards. Football has evolved, it’s no longer about long balls and aerial crosses into the box. With a big man it’s a temptation to just hit it up to him against and equally big Centre half who relishes that type of play. Slow build up then p...

Re: Saturday

On reflection I think he’ll definitely bring in O’Neill and possibly remove Holness and go for more creativity. He may go with Bascome to try to play the ball out from the back (looked ok in pre season other than one dodgy pass) or stick with the two in the middle that finished on Wednesday. Hatfiel...

Re: Saturday

Two enforced changes: Trotman out: Watson in and swap full backs Holmes out: O'Neill in I’d like to see Atkinson in with Hatfield, that Holness/Hatfield partnership is very poor when we are in possession. They are both very frantic and like a dog with a balloon when they have the ball. I’d also like...

Re: Trotman out for the season

How did this injury happen? Near the end of the game, close to the dugouts, Trots was stretching to keep the ball in play to maintain possession & the pressure on them. He did this but was clattered from behind as he turned (as had happened multiple times during the game and Gateshead unpenalised)....

Stability comes at a cost, this season has not panned out for a number of reasons we all know what they are, we must regroup and come at it with renewed zest, and vitality next season either with or without Tommy, Having said that I think Tommy should get 8 /10 games next season to see if he's lear...

Holness seems a good find, believe it’s his first game in a few months. I bet he’s on a massive contract to get him to play for us. No hope of seeing him next year, but we can hope! I worry about our centre half’s, Ainge and Galbraith is not a good pairing. I hope Tommy goes with 4 at the back from ...

Re: Nuneaton....

Our defence is crap in recent games so we should just go for it. Overload the wings with the wing backs and get the ball int he middle ... centre midfielder late runs into the box are missing so hopefully we get that sorted in this game. Hope to see our new signings in action, think they will start ...
