Re: Smith and Toman

I believe the Tomans are among Northallerton’s hardest families. This plus his little ‘tache of old and his midfield genius makes him the ideal candidate, apart from Alan White

Re: Chris Hardy - get him in now!

Whitby just lost at home to Scarborough. Hardy’s post match interview was dour, bland and uninspiring. I know we’ve got used to this with MG in recent weeks (only difference was that Hardy didn’t then bang on about the need for new investment) but he doesn’t sound like the great White hope that some...

Vic....almost MG's forum rant but in a business suit. Watch this space as soon as the seats pitch comes up short??? Who knows?

Re: Another Problem to be Resolved?

This sounds very ominous. Does this mean that our direction of travel is being heavily influenced by those who may not have our best interests at heart? Should we be bracing ourselves for another 'it's outside investment or oblivion' type sales pitch from the top?

Re: Short-termism

Face it... if we were to be promoted we'd be pretty much relegated again by February. We'd be travelling to the four corners of England at eye watering cost, including Tuesday nights at Dover etc. We'd get a trickle of away fans from all but the biggest/more northern teams coming to us, limiting our...

Re: TOUGH TIMES AHEAD

If there are potential investors out there and I doubt whether there are any, but if there are, they would only want to invest in a club going forwards not backwards like ours! Some investors (not mentioning any names here) might wait till their target is experiencing difficulties. Some investors (...

Re: Match highlights

Who are these people making up rules as they go? They are just not in the real world. To enforce these 'regulations' only a month before the start of the season is totally unrealistic. Pitchero or the league should provide the means to complete the work, and pay for it. That way every team would be...

Re: New CEO

Looks like plans are to go full time in the Conference Ron, as an increase of 500k takes us to nearly 1 million, which MG said was a full time budget. Also, the Arena is a no-go clearly. Interesting about owning our own ground Adam, if the Arena is a non starter just wonder what the other options a...

Re: Thoughts on investment.

To clarify. Yes MG has done a fantastic job to date. I would not like to see him leave, but the way he has conducted himself over this investment has left me very wary of his true motivation. Guess that's part of being a Darlo fan looking for ulterior motives in everyone after the shaftings we've t...

i am close to the manager but not his puppet i will say what i think always have done so do you not think the board deserved criticism regaurding the seating problem by the way this is the only thing i could critise them over. Re: Other investors

He must have had designs on The Arena. Something clearly changed his mind and it wasn't a bit of keyboard warrior grief. As has been said you can't be a successful businessman if you take offence and back off from every deal that some people don't support on social media. I see this as a smokescreen...

Bang on Vic. Let's get Martin as close to his preferred budget as we can asap. If/once he's on board then we set to and help deliver the required infrastructure. Right now I see only good coming from this episode

I don't blame him either I guess. The turn of events that night was a little strange and the events of the last week do add a different shade to what was said. End of the day though we all need to dust ourselves down and move on. I think the episode has proved that... a) we are open to the idea of s...

Re: Raj Singh's side of the story

A couple of questions Hair clip. Firstly, are your sources 'People in the know' and secondly, as he couldn't get the council to change the covenant for non-sporting purposes, did this plan involve the MG academy, so that there would still be development allowed as this is for a sporting reason? Lik...

Re: Raj Singh withdraws investment interest

I'll bet MG is considering his future. His comments at the FF now look all the more calculated, unpleasant and insulting. This business must have been linked to the MG Academy in some way. He either has to knuckle down with the rest of us or walk away in a huff. I don't think he's come out of this a...

Is MG's position now untenable? He has clearly backed the wrong horse and potentially courted investment behind the backs of some of the board (maybe not all?)

Is it still up for sale? Someone told me it had been sold. It's clear we're a pawn in a game of chess here. DFC are needed as a vehicle for a reason for any land development. Question is, how much would we stand to gain, or lose, from being part of any grand plan. This will have to be bloody amazin...

Has the council's covenant requiring 75% of sale profits of the Arena land been revoked? The council are good at 'losing' important documentation e.g Crown Street Library. I can't see past the Arena being involved somehow, either that or some grand plan for BM. You have to think about how any inves...

I would have to support any initiative that offered the best chance of a return to the FL.
