I've spoken to Hodgy fairly recently and sadly he'll never become a quaker for the fourth time, but he still loves the club and the fans.
He can’t love the club that much he’s never been to see a game at Blackwell.

Budget must be known soon as it’s getting to that time of year when you tell players whether they are wanted or not.

Re: Next season

Im no body language expert but Tommy looks really uncomfortable in his pmi these last few matches. Yesterday is telling because we won the game and he still looks down. In the past after a win he's all smiles but yesterday he had his defeat face on. Looks a broken man to me. Contrast with Jim Ganno...

Re: Sporting Village

Do we have to pay back grants if sport is still played at B. Meadows? Which it will be as the rugby will stay. According to DJ as long as football is played and there’s acccess and that football can be junior leagues it’s very unlikely FSIF would reclaim any funding plus their pitch funding was ove...

Re: Sporting Village

Good summary above. Sort those two problems then it’s either go there at no development cost or develop BM to anywhere between £2m-£3M which we just haven’t got. The decision would lie with a vote of SG members. All fairly academic at present with crowds of 1200 and the 500 seats rarely full. I sup...

Re: Sporting Village

It's not a case of being "buttered up" or not - obviously they'd have us because it means more income of top of the potential other income from the SV development. The problem is that a) part of the plan is a 4g pitch, which the football league does not allow currently and maybe never will, and b) ...

SV will go ahead whether we are there or not, reading through the Netcafe I get the sense we will stay at BM and with crowds around 1200 there’s little point on any redevelopment.

Re: FANS NETCAFE -this Friday evening.

When you break it all down like that it’s not such a bad deal except the 20% they get for advertising boards. Until we get our own ground it will always be the same and I can’t see that ever happening under the current ownership model it’s just to expensive.

Re: FANS NETCAFE -this Friday evening.

Yes it’s live. You can submit a question by mailing media@darlingtonfc.org I emailed Ray and he indicated DJ was there early on but had to leave so Chris answering majority of questions. I reckon answers are worked on during the week so not really live that’s why I think a fans forum is more real. ...

Re: Darlington V Chester

Everyone is disappointed with this season. However and I’ll probably get shot down for this he has had to sell Heaton, Styche, Syers etc with these in place it may have been a different season. The money received from sales hasn’t enabled him to buy more players rather it’s been used to pay off debt...

Make sure you don't go on that Tin Shed page on Facebook then, lordy me. They are all demanding Andy Toman as managers, then we resign Cartman/Syers/Turnbull/Scott/Brown and even Hunter. All of them barring Turnbull has been slagged off by most of them on that page for not being good enough when th...

Before the long trip back yesterday I wanted Tommy to leave. However on reflection we as fans are a fickle bunch and shouldn’t rush to a quick decision. Was at the game today. But doesn’t excuse all the other games he failed to get the points over the line. He’s taking the club backwards at the end of the day. If being relegated means Wright leaves with some of the Midlands lads, and we end up signing a few more local players who play with their hearts on their sleeves then i'd take it. Give me a choice of Evo Stik football like Whitby away then i'd gladly take it over the current crap. I desperately don...

Whether Tommy goes or not it’s irrelevant as we can’t afford to go the next league so that would put most ambitious managers off Depends how you look at it - it would put off managers who want to get success by just spending money.
