Re: Youth team

Very disappointing news, since they moved out of BM I’d heard things weren’t going so smoothly. A real shame as they appeared to have a really good initial set up and financially run well makes the club decent income. Hope the club don’t ditch the Academy.

Re: Ground share

Do the grant conditions specify what kind of football must be played at BM? Obviously it will host rugby football🤔 Apparently it can be any football at any level and there needs to be access from the main road. The grant if it ever was to be paid back lasts 10 years so we only have 5/6 years left.

Does anyone know if DJ or DFCSG have actually spoken with Mowden at all? With the new owner/investor Ged Quinn they may well have different ideas.

Re: Ground share

Seems a sensible solution, those with Covid worries will be able to go there with plenty of space, it may attract other floating fans who prefer to sit and actually see the match and if successful perhaps sort out our long term ground solution. Not sure what the is pitch like but I’d imagine some wo...

With a large percentage of older fans I can see many of these not attending until a vaccine appears. Also the Arena would have worked well for us plenty of social distancing could have been achieved.

Re: Sports village

Let’s hope both clubs are using this time to communicate properly and improve the relationship when things start again. As DJ has said before we make 10% on wet sales not sure on ground food but the best way to support the club is book Hospitality and park in the car park as that’s where we make mos...

Re: Sports village

Just a thought, I wonder if the proposal of 2015 by the R.U group which was knocked back because of the proposed sporting village, will look at the plan again. They wanted to build a retail park with plans for the football club to become part of it they were willing to build a purpose built stadium...

Re: Sports village

The talk of building a new stadium next to the arena was never going to happen. Before Covid I would have said get back to the Arena ASAP, and possibly on today’s news we could still negotiate a great deal. If not it’s probably a case of the club just surviving not going for promotion and staying un...

Re: David Johnston's Netcafe

I’m glad we have DJ in charge BTBH nothing really new came out on Friday. Reading between the lines Craig did very well selling the board space which has increased rapidly but compared to previous years when we secured Virgin & Ebac he didn’t have any big ticket to sell as we don’t own our own crowd...

I’ve said before managers like to get their own players in and normally let players under an own regime go at some point - Gray, Wright no different. We are living under a new player budget hopefully DJ in his forthcoming netcafe can actually let us know what it is as a fan owned club we should be a...

Re: Playing budget

Martin Gray used to say that 3-400k was the sort of budget you needed to form a challenge. I bet AA could do it with 250k🤞 Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk There will be a lot of caution about the budget from both boards I’d imagine as who knows when football is back and whether another spike w...

Re: Potential new signings

I don't have a lot of interest in new signings currently, once we know any timelines and what's possible I might. At the minute, we don't know our budget, we don't know when football will start, players don't know what to do. Some players will be happy with signing a contract with us but we don't k...

If the club are proactive they should put all PAYE staff as furloughed staff as at least 80% of PAYE costs will be covered. I don’t think they will be able to apply for CBIL due to the previous accounts and the fact the banks are looking for security, as we don’t have any. Most players finish up bei...
