Re: Kids In Tin Shed
I've been going to football matches for over 40 years and segregation of some sort is the normal and sensible thing to do. Did anyone bat an eyelid when we were put in our own special stand, away at Halifax?? I doubt it - because segregation used fairly and properly helps to stop potential problems ...

I still think the board need to hold the reigns on Gray who's ambition could take him further than the Club can How can you "hold the reigns" on someones ambition? Ambition is what makes most people tick. The whole team needs to be ambitious. Would we have pulled off the amazing end to last season ...

More definitely than probablyDarlo_Pete wrote:. Their keeper made a couple of terrific saves and if either of those had gone in, then it would probably have been a completely different outcome.

Gary Brown was unlucky and lucky at the same time. The foul he got cautioned for wasn't even a foul never mind soft the ref wasn't helped by his AR there. 100% dive. couldn't believe it. Dive is harsh player was stumbling tried to put his weight onto brown but brown didn't provide the surface to ba...

Re: Kids In Tin Shed
This is a problem. Previously the temporary seating at H.P would have been ideal for young children - Mark, is it worth standing right at the near end of the Tin shed, away from the centre bit? Or possibly on top of the grass at the other end? The tinshed should be home fans only... Same as the seat...

Re: Nuneaton Match Thread
I was a bit far away to see this, but I'm sure the ref was running away with his back turned and didn't see it at all - he turned and saw the ball on the deck with Beck activated and presumed a foul had taken place. I suppose if you don't see it you can't give it, but then again Beck got booked!

Re: Nuneaton Match Thread
Teams like Nuneaton will kill off football as a spectator sport - dire to watch and Darlo got sucked in. I agree in some ways, but they can play as they want ... everywhere we tried to put the ball, 2 or 3 blue shirts immediately turned up to thwart us, and we had no answer. Agree with onewayup on ...

Re: NUNEATON GAME
Hopefully Tommy Wright will get a good reception when he returns as manager of Nuneaton. Why?.He was at the club for 5minutes. 21 goals in 76 games across two spells (so says good old Wikipedia, anyway) and a member of the FA Trophy winning squad. Although I'd personally give him a much warmer welc...

Remember at Bishop we got £0 from bar sales You sure about this?? That's what MJ stated at forums anyway - but not in a bad way as at the same time confirmed there isn't much money in it anyway. I'm not sure about this. When we first kicked off at Bishop I remember talk of the bar deal being a 50/5...

4 goalkeepers playing would make it tricky for the opposition, they wouldn't be expecting that.

Re: Time to know what the deal is.
I was surprised by the strength of feeling about this ("the deal") yesterday at Halifax.
It was the number one talking point for many before and after the game -- the cost of the pies/drinks, who's setting the prices/where's the money going/when will there be info released about what's going on?

Re: Halifax v Darlington Match Thread
In an ideal world we could take him out of the firing line. However, there isn't a ready made temporary replacement and as supporters we need to build him back up not knock him down. The is currently far more with our defending, particularly with the ball and runners breaking through our midfield, ...

The mysterious deflection!
I never saw it at the time, others never saw it, I can't see it on the highlights and Gregan never spotted it - but says some of the players saw it come off Marrs.
Shame there's no behind the goal footage re Halifax's first.

Re: Constructive views on the Blackwell experience
If I am honest whilst I like that Karen is sticking up for Darlo fans I think she needs to back off from causing any issues at this point. Seems very clear the deal involves the Rugby Club wanting to complete refreshments and making some money out of the football fans. In all honesty not totally ag...

I was just about to write this ........ but Spyman beat me to it. You could call replacing Jameson 'abandoning his development', but you could apply that term to dozens of other players who haven't made the grade - ultimately if they don't improve to the standard we need them to then we move them on...

Re: Constructive views on the Blackwell experience
Second issue, the rugby club are hiking prices on football match days versus what rugby club members pay. 33% extra on a pint and 53% extra on a tea/coffee. No one likes feeling they are being taken for a ride. Constructive views - not criticism, tea was £1 at H.P. (upstairs bar) now £2 and not nic...

Re: Constructive views on the Blackwell experience
Unless the Rugby Club stop charging steep prices - which I am sure that they don't charge their members (£4 a pint?!) - then fans will take their money elsewhere and drink in town. Marquee or no marquee. Good point. £2 for small cool tea is OTT, and making prices too high in my view is counterprodu...
