Agreed. Looked promising but maybe a bit too slight to make much of an impact in league two at the moment.

You get disillusioned with football when your team is doing s***. I am now obsessed with how big a club's playing budget is and that money has ruined football, I am sure this is only because Darlo haven't got a pot to piss in. I am not disputing that Miller or Valentine is better at right back, I am saying the central defenders should be able to do a job there providing the midfield work hard enough defenceively. Slightly unfair comparison in as much as you're listing many of the best players from the 03/04 team. Exactly. You could just as easily say: Michael Price... or David Knight Glen Robson... or Kevin Gall Lee Matthews... or Dean Windass Alan Morgan... or Jordan Cook Chris Hughes... or Josh Gray Fabie...

Definetly. Accrington is a case in point. When Bower came off Jeff Smith and Convery and then Porritt linked up well on the left.

That said I do think Bower is a solid enough centre back.

Part of the problem is that we don't seem to defend as an 11. We lose possession and teams are just waltzing through us.
