Re: Darlington v Harrogate Match Thread
Out of the 11 FA Trophy and FA Cup tournaments we’ve been eligible for since the Trophy win we’ve gone out at the first hurdle seven times. It’s doing my head in.

By Connected I mean I have heard from a friend of a friend. Obviously I don’t work for darlington, why would I post anything on here?! In hindsite this was harsh. I’d just travelled and become frustrated. I’d delete this if I could. Administration. A Wembley win. Demotion. Three promotions. The ret...

Re: New manager poll
Permission was sought. This was rumbling on far longer than MG had us believe. Gray made it known to York that he wanted the job months before But that's not the same as YCFC seeking permission. Am intrigued by undercovered's comment. When was this and if it was months ago was it some kind of open ...

Re: New manager poll
since Hardy is contracted to Whitby we would need their permission to speak with him. Why didn't YCFC need permission to speak to MG? He admitted he spoke to YCFC on the evening of the Curzon game and resigned the next day. Nobody has said DFC's permission was sought. Have asked this question on ot...

Re: New manager poll
A club can approach another club and request permission to speak to their manager. Which is exactly what YCFC didn’t do, as far as I can make out. Nobody at DFC or YCFC, or MG himself, has said YCFC sought permission to speak to MG. Are the rules crystal clear about this kind of thing at NLN level,...

Re: Compensation from Gray breaking contract?
Been away for a week so playing catch up here (and jeez there’s a lot to catch up on!). As far as compensation goes am I right in thinking all we’ve got is the promise of a friendly against YCFC next close season? Seriously, they must have a very high opinion of themselves if they think that’s some ...

Re: Martin Grey live on BBC Tees sports live tonight
Don’t think the Radio Tees lot will be troubling the Pulitzer judges. Talk about an easy ride. They let MG ignore the question of compensation, accepted a pretty pat answer about going after DFC players, and did not push him on the chronology. You can rarely rely on local radio or newspapers to do ...

Re: Martin Grey live on BBC Tees sports live tonight
Aren’t clubs supposed to go through the other club’s chairman/board to get permission to speak to a manager? According to MG he was contacted by YCFC first and only then met Tempest and Johnston and tendered his resignation.

Re: Darlington FC V FC U Manchester
Wonder if their fans continued to sing about George Best, Matt Busby and Man Yoo in general all the way back to Manchester. They did seem to be getting a bit uptight with MG and our dugout as things turned against them. But at least it was good to hear some singing from away fans at BM. How many di...
