Re: Gainsborough v Darlington Match Thread
We must give Tommy the rest of this season and make sure we finish above the bottom three, we simply cannot afford to be paying up managers contracts, the biggest problem is Gray with average players on long term contracts and unfortunately Tommy has inherited MG's mistakes in this respect. We need t...

Re: Gainsborough v Darlington Match Thread
Listening to the commentary we have no shape whatsoever, that starting lineup was crazy, why Thommo at RB when we have Mares for gods sake, come on Tommy man just get a half decent back 4 and play everyone in their normal positions.Starting with 4 wide men is suicide. Wheatley should have started wi...

How can they warrant a playing squad of 28 many of which will be full time plus a manager and 2 assistants plus reserve and youth coaches plus a physio.....the list goes on.In addition they have a chairwoman and wait for it, a head of recruitment. No wonder they are losing money, crazy for this level...

Re: Gainsborough
Like the look of that team, though I might swap Syers for Wheatley, and use Syers from the bench as he always seems to pop up with a goal from there. Agree Quakerz, Wheatley for Syers and Brown for Heat on as I don't think he is physical enough. That team would climb the table IMO. Sent from my XT10...

Absolutely vital we start getting clean sheets or we will be in big trouble, just think the midfield area should include one less attacker for a more defensive option as extra cover to our back 4.Hope we abandon the 3 centre halves and revert back to 4 at the back plus the defensive midfielder as I ...

Re: Current Cash Flow
Today's postponement won't help matters, as DJ said that we desperately needed this game to go ahead. Just wonder if a 3pm kick off would have given this game a far better chance of going ahead with a 10-30 inspection, always a doubt with an 8-30 inspection.Typically raining at the moment with temp...

Fair enough if he is paying Gregans wages but do you need a management/coaching team of 4 plus goalkeeping coaches at this level.Crazy!

Well it is a cup! I see Gregan and Bell have turned up as part time coaches at York Why the hell does he want these 2 in addition to the backroom staff already there. So that's Gray,Penny,Atkinson, and now Gregan plus 3 goalkeeping coaches in Collett, Bell and Norman. They must have a massive payroll ...

Totally agree m62.m62exile wrote:Situations change. I’ve the opposite view, it would be careless to pump more money in to BM until the board have been able to properly evaluate any opportunities that *might* offer a better future for the club.

Next Saturday is massive, lose and we could be in the bottom 3. simply must start getting some clean sheets and get set up to be tough to break down and start getting some ugly, scrappy wins.

Lost 2-1 to Boston. That's a shocker. Which speech will it be today. I predict "Players don't play for Martin Gray's teams with that lack of effort. We'll be looking to move some on. I'm not standing for it". Gray is chopping and changing his squad far too much Adam, signed yet another 2 players la...

Looking at the comments on here I thought we must be bottom of the table League: P4 W0 D1 L3 GF4 GA10 Pts 1 GD-6 We're not there yet but Tommy is working on it. [emoji106] Blaming Tommy Wright for this run is ridiculous. And, it will get worse before it gets better. The last thing the club needs is...

Re: Darlington v Harrogate Match Thread
The poor form was very evident towards the end of Gray's tenure, we are in a transition not only with style of play but players coming and going and we have to accept a season of rebuilding and make sure we are in this league next season.Hard to accept after all our success on the pitch but look at ...

I have a strong dislike towards the rugby club, long story short they have a real chip on their shoulder The irony in this sentence is astounding. If 'they' had a chip on their shoulder about 'us' being there then why did they agree to rent their ground out to us? I would imagine a significant rent...

It's terrible that at the entrance it only says Darlington Rugby Football Club. No mention of the football club or forthcoming fixtures. This must change. It seems DRFC are determined to get the message across that they are the landlords and we are merely tenants.Annoying the way this is coming acr...
