Re: Fans forum

Martin Gray basically he said he has two investors lined up. They want 51%+ of club. If this doesn't happen & his budget is cut then himself & his management team (& no doubt a lot of the players) will be off at the end of season. 7 days time. He wants us on the express train bankrolled to the footb...

Re: From the Board of Directors Summary of Appeal

I presume Martin Gray will be at the meeting. It'll be very interesting to hear what he has to say about the debacle. Suspect he will say he is disappointed but he is proud of the way the team have played this season, particularly in the last few few weeks since news came out. I wouldn't expect any...

Re: BBC story

what I find fascinating with all these new stories of clubs not being allowed to play due to the ground issues is that it highlights how easy it has been to miss interpret the rules. We have fans who are baying for blood with our board but we are not the only ones who have made this mistake just sa...

Re: Other Alternatives

I think we have a stable future at BM alright, but not the kind of stability you'll like. If we ever got promoted to the FL, we would have three seasons by which we would have to reach a capacity of 5,000 which must include at least 2,000 seats. Where are we going to fit 2000 seats at BM? I know it...

Re: Fundraising the new seated stand

That could work, but I don't think the Rugb Club would go with it without taking some of the money earned from it. They don't need/want a new stand, but the winning business will have their name plastered all over the Rugby Clubs home, who would then be missing out on their own sponsorship deals. D...

Re: UK Manchester Match Thread

Is there any catering or refreshments for away fans when they are segregated like today? Apparently some of the FCUM fans were very disappointed that they couldn't drink in the bar before the game, saying that normally clubs open extra bars when FCUM come to town. A good away following is likely to...

Re: Temp seats at bishop ??

We've signed a 20 year deal with the rugby club. They have taken on extra debt to fund their side of the development. They are not just going to release us from the agreement. Plus we'd have to repay all the FSIF grant money (250k?). Mowden Park are reported to be struggling financially. Hardly a se...

Re: Poole Town Play Off Issue and Darlo

When the planning was originally submitted in December 2014, we were at step 4, and required a Grade D ground. The application was submitted to provide a Grade C ground, with an eye to extend it to Grade B and A in due course as our progress required. There was also provision in the plans for 500 s...

I agree with coles. Clearly directors have to be held accountable and handling of this issue has fallen well below what is acceptable. We'll all be in a better position to judge after the forum. Re: Team strengthening for next season

Attendances have "disappointed" since we got to BM according to the board and costs have increased so I'm certain MG's budget for next season will be cut. The board should have already had that discussion with the manager. Given that there are ambitious teams like South Shields and Spennymoor that c...

I get what you're saying - but you need to keep in mind that 'the club' is just a collection of 'simple supporters'. I know the argument has been done to death but things will be missed when all admin has to be done by 'simple supporters' in their spare time. If someone was doing this stuff full-ti...

Too big, too small, just right, no let's move out. what is it with us and grounds? We should have moved back to the Arena on a short term deal, at least we wouldn't have had this headache or investment into developing a stadium that's not even ours You were told ages ago that the Arena was not an o...

There has been talk of temporary seats being acceptable if there is planning permission in place for permanent seats ( assuming they had been in place by 31 March) Can anyone point to a link for this as Grade A & B grading says its not acceptable. It used to be acceptable. See: http://www.thefa.com...

Re: Poole Town Play Off Issue and Darlo

That statement doesn't sound all that encouraging. Here's hoping the authorities see sense. Also, i'm pretty sure Salfords stadium isn't up to spec yet either. You could end up with a really farcical playoff if you have to kick out two teams from competing. I don't see how it should be a different ...

Re: Poole Town Play Off Issue and Darlo

Totally agree with Spyman on this one. Ridiculous rule which doesn't support clubs such as ours and makes no financial sense. I guess this will be our line of argument. The NL will no doubt be "Well if you had the ambition then you should have got the 500 seats sorted well before the time". If they...

Whilst the view in the stand at Blackwell Meadows is lower down, it should be remembered that the first five rows at the Arena was exactly the same and fans sat in those seats by choice. Indeed it is the same view that is provided in the first five rows at most modern stadiums up and down the count...

I don't like the fact that we paid a substantial fee for Hardy, I will admit that. However I have to let that go as I have no idea what it takes in financial terms to truly compete at the level we're playing at. What I am more concerned about is the perception of fans as our long-term investors. In...

Its never a good idea to get into a "discussion" with Darlogramps - they never end so I'm only posting once to make this point. Darlogramps seems to be taking the "cost neutral" statement (I have no idea whether it was correct or not) & the fact that we took a loan to complete the deal as a proving ...

If we're going to spend a lot of money on the pitch, I personally would be in favour of an agreement along the lines of 20 (for example - number pulled out of thin air) rugby matches played on the main pitch per season, and the rest on outside pitches. Then the rugby club can decide which of their ...
