Re: Darlington FC v Curzon Ashton
Syers had an awful game against Fylde where he missed 2-3 excellent chances - since then he has hardly figured, this maybe a confidence issue, personally i don't think Gray knows Syers best position. Falkingham looks better coming on as a sub than he does starting. In Stockport he proved really usef...

Re: Darlington FC v Curzon Ashton
Personally - I don't think we played THAT badly on Saturday. The second two goals were a result of us being caught on the break when pushing too far on. School boy errors. Thomo upfront was not a good move for me. Too many times he was drifting out wide, which left Beck having no-one to knock the ba...

Re: Kids In Tin Shed
I know there was no segregation enforced, so they could stand anywhere, but in my opinion it was extremely naive of them to wander in to the middle of a packed tinshed and expect to put some flags up without someone saying something. From where I was stood, the stewards did attempt to move them on, ...

Re: Kids In Tin Shed
... but their fans went in there with the intention of winding up our fans... That is totally and utterly not true. Boro fans went there because they wantes to stand behind the goal we were attacking and as the ground is not segregated were able to do that. As an away fan, the experience from half ...

Re: Stadium Blueprint with Waterpipe location
Best idea would be to put more seating on the far side of club house. One block between pipe & tin shed, one block between current seats and open end. Then if put 8 steps of terrace on the open end around 2/3 of the way across (to the pipe) my figures would be: Tin Shed 1000 Farside seating 900 (eac...

Re: Constructive views on the Blackwell experience
My thoughts on the ground: Overall thought atmosphere was great, music/pa was great. Flood lights may be adequate at this level but did appear dark on the pitch! 1. You can probably get another 2 of the seated stands in on the far side making that all seated. Leaving a space for the pipe and putting...

Re: BM latest pics..?
One worry I have, the seated stand is a long way from the home turnstiles if we play a segregated game. I'm presuming a fan would have to enter and then have to walk right the front of the tinshed, and then right the way down to seats? Maybe an issue for elderly / disabled supporters who require a s...

Does anyone know why we have only built half of the seated stand?
This plan shows the pipe as being very wide.

Well impressed by your IT skills  Thank you - obviously it won't be 100% accurate but gives a decent enough indication. Re: Blackwell capacity
The pictures Tori Gill has posted on Twitter (re-tweeted by Craig Stoddart) from high above show everyone exactly how much we have to play with regards to BM and increasing capacity. There is not a massive amount of room behind the tin shed to increase. However, the open end could have a concrete op...

Re: Blackwell capacity
I would expect that if what we currently see can reach to 3000, then plans to make 4,000 would be as follows: - 8-10 steps of terracing at the open end from the seated stand corner up to the piping area. - Additional seating next to the stand currently being built If/When the club reaches the next s...

Re: Blackwell capacity
Just because there has to be demonstrable ability to expand doesn't mean we actually have to do it though, in theory... I'd imagine you could redevelop in front of the clubhouse, albeit at great expense. Gotta remember though, whatever was done would have to be ok'd by the Rugby club. After all, it...

Re: Blackwell capacity
As has been said I think there is plenty of room for theoretical expansion. Funding it would be a different matter entirely. Looking at pictures there is loads of room still behind the tin shed. You basically have a plan drawn doubling the depth of that and fill in all the corners. I'm not sure abo...

Re: Blackwell capacity
Just looking at the latest pictures, it seems there is quite a distance between the goalposts and the tinshed, at least nowhere near as close as they are at Bishop. Would be a shame if there was a big gap between the fans and the pitch. I know Rugby posts are 100 yards apart with an "in goal" area ...

Re: Blackwell capacity
.... It has been suggested by the board that the temporary seating from HP could be situated on the pipe on the far side. It wouldn't up the capacity by a huge amount and also wouldn't contribute to the extra seating needed at conference level but would provide extra seating if necessarry. .... I t...

Re: Blackwell capacity
People moaning about the size/depth of the tinshed should really look at the plans. The wooden face behind the shed is at an angle which means where the turnstiles are due to be, there is no room behind it whatsoever. One thing I would like to know is if its possible to build terracing / seating inf...

Re: Bradford PA v Darlo Match Thread
We were by no means the team we should be last night but 3 points is 3 points and credit the lads for never giving up. Whilst it's hard given the injuries and fatigue, a few of the players really had shockers last night - Nowakowski at times looked totally lost and had no idea what to do when the ba...

Very frustrating afternoon. Didn't take Nuneaton to get some confidence today after they established our main plan is playing up to Beck. Re: a crocked jameson v a fit bell
Not convinced that playing Jameson is the best way to aid his recovery but we don't know the full ins/outs we can only trust M.G. That said, during warm ups, and half time - Bell does seem fit, and can certainly kick a deal ball, which is more than Jameson right now.

If you go on the FCUM web page you can watch highlights of their recent game v Stockport where just over 3000 were in the ground. Behind the goal where the Stockport fans are they are stood around 3-4 people deep and appears on two levels (must be one step i'm guessing). I'm guessing Stockport trave...

Re: Ossett Town v Darlington
Went to the game last night. Wasn't a bad game to be fair - both teams played like they wanted to win it, even if the message was to take it steady (if that makes sense). Ossett made the better chances - we did well to get the ball in and around the box but rarely troubled their keeper. Amar looked ...
