Re: Darlo Ultras
1. I like the idea, like it a lot, and am all for bringing the atmosphere back into football - but at 32 am too old to get involved in all that tomfoolery at the back of the stands nowadays - I'd rather just have a pre-match skinful and abuse the ref for 90mins. 2. I like the way Andy is in charge ...

Re: Better...
Austin, for me, is a centre half who can play at left back. both he and Hone looked solid but werent really tested by a very poor away side. It is only the second game i have seen this season, both home and both won (!), but we looked decent enougth. Terry looks a real oplayer, doea the simple thing...

Agreed - they are throwing money around like mad - crazy! That is a massive sum for a non league player who has never played in the football league. What happens when they dont go up?shadwellman wrote:It will end in tears.I can see an administration coming on.

Re: York City - potential striker crisis
Today's York Press, as well as carrying a story on Brodie leaving, had a front page story on Michael Rankine and Michael Gash facing potential jail sentences for a night club fight. They will be sentenced in October. Michael Gash must rival Danny Shittu for having the most unfortunate name for a fo...

Spoke to a couple of Poohls fans at the wedding i atttended on Saturday and they seemed more concetrned abour losing the chief executive than Turner. They were also concerned that IOU might cut funding but felt it unlikely they would simply stop putting money in. I dont think administration is likel...

Like Sir Alex cares about a £3k fine. If BBC are so worried they should just not have an interview with MUFC or have a picture of Alex Ferguson and have an actor read his comments ala Gerry Adams!

lets see who they get to replace him - if only it would be Staunton!
EDIT - the Echo are saying the chief executive also resigned before Turner and that Mick Wadsworth has taken over on a caretaker basis. Also some mention of a take over of the club

Cant really expect anymore from BBC TV (not a complaint really!) We are not big enougth/have enougth fans to merit any of their time unless there is something of intrest to the wider community. Thye will concentrate on "the big three" becuase that will get the viewers. Intresting about the rights to...

Re: Midfield
We have plenty of cover in midfield - what we need are some full backs, one as cover for Arnison and a new left back, becasue Austin doesnt look like a left back, surely he is a a stand and head it away centre half - would hate to see what happens when he has to turn and chase a nippy winger! he was...

IF is mum is ill then he should be allopwed to go on unpaid leave - i work away from my familty and that is all i would get. Keep his registration and make someone else pay for it.

Earlier in the summer I said we'd update you with BBC Tees' plans for Darlington coverage for this forthcoming season. As promised, we'll continue to provide coverage of matches home and away, league and cup which though I say it myself, is miles ahead of anyone else who might claim to cover the cl...

I think this league will be much harder than the last time we were here (and that was hard enougth!) As has been said i think this league is as good as it has ever been. We dont have the benfit/advantages of being one of the few full time pro clubs in this league like the last time. We will be in fo...
