Re: Fixture backlog

A successful run in the Trophy would, of course, add to the pressure. Three games a week occasionally?

Good news for today: despite not playing, we can’t fall more than one position down the league table (groan).

Re: Today's results Saturday February 8th 2020

Statistically, I think we have good grounds for play-off optimism. OK, we can expect to lose to Boston tomorrow, but 8 of our remaining 13 games are against teams currently below us in the league. We have a 'good' trio of games near the end of the season - Curzon, Kettering and Bradford. Perhaps the...

Good chance Malden & Tiptree could have a replay v Leyton Orient which wouldn’t be good
Or they could beat them! 1-2 to M & T with 10 minutes to go.

I see that Walsall don't have a midweek game next week, but we are playing on Wednesday, which is going to make it tough against Walsall who are also full-time.

Don't think anyone has yet mentioned that we have a mid-week fixture beforehand (Kidderminster), whereas Walsall do not. Might help, on that score, to have a Sunday game.

Important we don't expect too much, or too little, from any game this season. There will be downs and ups. We are not going to gain promotion. We will not be relegated. Middle of the pack by April.
As for this game, my gut says we will narrowly lose out... but, perhaps, that's expecting too little!

Well, Saturday is hear, and we shall soon know AA's views on who plays where. Shame the forecast looks horrible for Saturday. Likely to put many off, if it rains as predicted. Gloomsters (sorry for the political in word!) might even suggest the game could be off because of a waterlogged pitch.

Don't know if it is still possible to invest, but a few payments went through yesterday (1st June) - to push the total to over £103,000. So, if you meant to put something in but didn't get round to it for some reason, perhaps you could still try...?

Lots of relevant things said in this thread, along with the inevitable swings from "He must go" to "Brilliant", when we find ourselves in a situation where we clutch at good or bad straws as the wind blows from game to game. For what it's worth, my view has always been to give TW a continuing chance...
