Re: Ron Greener Update

Non members will only be admitted on the proviso that a meal is bought, there are no plans to have a per match door fee at this time. I'm awaiting clarification if eating pre-match means you can again gain entry to the suite after the match. if you eat at the carvery pre-match you will be given a d...

Re: Ron Greener Update

If this comment was intended to make you come over as an elitist snob, you succeeded. I could reply by saying that this is traditionally a 4th tier football club, and that those in the corporate dominated Premiership sound more your type of club, but that would be disparaging both to the majority f...

Re: commercial department at it again.........

agreed, not great at all, and i dont think id be too happy if that had happened to me, however the whole farce of having to hold onto applications and cheques whilst we were in admin must have been a right pain - i'm actually surprised many fans did what you did and paid so soon up front - shows a v...

Re: Ron Greener Update

I think that the club will not make as much money on this scheme as they may anticipate, the lounge has been used by a fair number of people at half time, many buying a sandwich and a drink. The sandwiches are using up the carvery meat etc, those who have had their meals are not going to buy after e...

Re: Ron Greener Update

A dress code? What next? Prawn sandwiches on the menu. I don't have a problem with the membership fee or paying a cover charge to have a meal in the Ron Greener, but why have a dress code? It's a football match, not the opera!. whats the problem? its not as if its black tie or anything, they are ju...

Re: Windass

exactly what i said right up top there, however leeds absolutely butchered us on the counter on monday and i think if we played like that for a full game we'd need a very very strong backline which we dont have just yet. problem with playing that narrow is that the opposition full backs will push ri...

Re: Feedback from Tonight

its an entertainement industry tho - £2.60 for half a litre of lager is a pretty standard price these days, i think you'd struggle to get that value anywhere else to be honest, be that football ground, restaurant, cinema...in fact barring a working mans pub or a wetherspoons i'd doubt there's anywhe...

Re: Feedback from Tonight

I thought overall the service was decent. HOWEVER, me and my mate waited a good 35 minutes to be served for drinks in the Sports Bar. We just got sick of waiting so we went through to the concourse consuming a couple bottles of Carling there. The club need to address the shortage of staff and tills...

Re: Ron Greener Update

definitely worth a couple of quid a game over the course of the season - just for that little bit of exclusivity and the chance to meet players etc - its less than the cost of a pint per match, if i sat in the south stand i'd get it just so i could go and have a warm at half time!

Re: Knight

it is a concern but todd showed us in pre season that he wont tolerate under performance with the release of starosta and james. no doubt knight will be feeling the pressure after his mistakes, it wil be important how he responds in the next few games. from what ive seen of liversedge in pre-season ...

Ron Greener Update

Some clarification on the Ron Greener suite which was such a hot topic at the recent fans forum...... As most will probably know, entrance to the Ron Greener suite will this season be restricted to members and those booking a meal at the carvery. Membership costs £50 for the season which includes al...

Re: Feedback from Tonight

I must say the new programme is fantastic. The new design is really smart and much better than last years. I think the colour schemes also work really well. Going for another award on the programme front this year are we ;) totally agree - a better programme and cheaper for the club to produce, mea...

Re: Feedback from Tonight

A couple of inputs from me. Big thumbs up for the shiny new programme - plenty of content and back to the pre-administration price of £2.50. I think they should offer and advertise a postal subscription service for exiles. Plenty of food and the pies were properly heated - even before the game. Sor...

Re: Another loanee on the way?

we still dont have a right winger so it would be welcome, fair play to sunderland if they do give us another young lad. what is more pleasing about the article is the sky tv money estimated at £100k!!! i thought it was around £50k. I wonder whether this has been budgeted for or whether todd will be ...

Re: Feedback from Tonight

I was stood by the main gate waiting for my lift after the match and watched the traffic leaving. There's not a lot the club can do about it taking so long. It was moving pretty constantly but, as you can only turn left, and there only two lanes, people have to wait. The club could have any number ...

Re: Feedback from Tonight

i think the lack of posts from last night speaks volumes as to how well it was handled, that said, a crowd of under 5k shouldnt really cause any concerns. from my point of view i set off to the match an hour before KO and got into the stadium and parked no problem at all, headed into the corner bar ...

Re: New Keeper required ! - and one or two other observations

Last night was my first look at the new team. Overall I thought we did fairly well and there were more positives than negatives. The only areas that concerned me were the keeper (though he did knock around a higher level long enough to suggest that he must have some ability and may improve with con...

Couple of pics from last night

Nothing too flash, just taken with my phone, but the sun setting behind the stadium along with the moody clouds and floodlights made for a decent picture, click for full size. http://img34.imageshack.us/img34/9935/darloleedspancropsm.jpg http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/6416/darloleedsfullsm.jpg

good point re having to change the shape as he cant last 90 mins - i was hoping with a bit more of a withdrawn role he might not be as shattered, but i still cant see us getting more than 60 mins a week. perhaps if we were to play without wingers, Jeff Smith could be utilised as a replacement in the...

Re: What was the attendance tonight ?

getting the thread slightly back on topic, i was horrified to look at those pictures posted - there looked a hell of a lot more than that in the west when you were actually sitting in there, all in all a quite appalling turnout. i just hope it improves in the league or we'll be playing in sub 2k cro...
