Re: Reserves
Have to admit I was a bit surprised when it was announced that we were looking for our reserves to get promoted to the Northern League, as I never seen a reserve side in the Northern League before. Cracking start to the season 11 goals scored and none conceded and top of the table. Hardly surprisin...

Re: Reserves
Spyman, re:eligibility for promotion, an interesting tweet exchange between the club and a fan. The question is 'Does the team have everything in place should we win promotion/get into the play-offs?' The reply is'Lots of work going on behind the scenes and you will have seen that work has already s...

Reserves
With the reserves setting an early pace I remember MG saying he wanted promotion this season. However I e-mailed the Northern League secretary Dave Robinson (not our own Robbo I assume) and he confirmed that reserve sides aren't eligible. Interesting also that MG publicly stated about going for prom...

Re: No match thread!
I think give some credit to the opposition. I live in Lincolnshire so hear the news about Gainsborough and Dave Frecklington came in at the back end of last season to kick them up the arse. He's strengthened well, but they actually have some of the best forwards in the division. Jarman is very good ...

Re: Bradley Fewster
I think about 400k has been quoted somewhere to make the necessary improvements for NL level. That will be matched by funding, so 200k approx to raise I think will not be far off. As for player budget. MG reckons 1 million for full time. I suspect he will not want to entertain part time. Promotion c...

Re: Cartman available for loan
I've never made up my mind about Cartman. We signed an absolute goal machine who stopped scoring so much when we bought him, but was that due to the way we played? On the plus side, his link up play was excellent and he almost played as an attacking midfielder rather than a forward. Also, his determ...

Re: Cartman available for loan
Brad Groves to come in with 20k for him to reduce the amount needed for the seats. This is wishful speculation by the way.

Has Boost the Budget been extended? More money has been put in and the deadline is back out to 3 days.

Re: Bradley Fewster
I think that some people, understandably, have lost a bit of faith in the club regarding getting the infrastructure correct due to the seats situation. I do have a lot more faith in the current CEO to deliver on this front, although, understandably, people don't want to make assumptions at this stag...

Re: Match highlights
Who are these people making up rules as they go? They are just not in the real world. To enforce these 'regulations' only a month before the start of the season is totally unrealistic. Pitchero or the league should provide the means to complete the work, and pay for it. That way every team would be...

Re: Community share pledge
What does 'compete' mean though? I'd be confident that we could hold our own in midtable with a couple of additions. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk Yeah but with the 8 new strikers, 6 midfielders and 10 defenders MG would bring in, we would make the play-offs (until we're forcibly relegated b...

Re: Community share pledge
If we'd do get promoted then our CEO has openly said that we'll be unable to compete financially without investment. We'd need to be able to turn over another 600k and that's without the ground improvements (which would be approx. 200k matching the FSIF grant to generate 400k).

Fenwicks really don't need that 2nd sign. It's clearly their 4th choice one.

Re: Tonight's game
Just a thought on this. Have we paid a deposit up front for all the work to be carried out and the seats will get completed ASAP and we have the rest of the balance to pay off or are works being carried out as and when the money is raised through the pitches? If It's the latter then until pitch 2 is...

Re: Tonight's game
It's interesting that "boost the budget" has enough to fulfill one of the seats funds and as some are saying what's the point if we can't go up? I've struggled with having to put amounts of £100+ into seats when a tenner here and there might be more feasible for many people. 2000 of us putting a te...

Re: Tonight's game
Ironically Gramps I think another reason which people quote is poor facilities, visibility, not many seats at BM, which is, of course, a vicious circle, as if more people attended, we'd have more money to purchase seats, but we won't see that until we have the seats.

Re: Tonight's game
Let's do this mathematically. 83k to raise. Let's say we can get the 15k from DFCSG renewals, that leaves 68k still to find. Can we add a few K from the recent friendly? Let's suppose we can, that leaves 60k. That's putting a lot of pressure on cup runs. We don't know yet if the well has run dry reg...

Re: Seating Phase 2 of 3
Divas, any ideas if profits from the Newcastle friendly are going to go towards the seats? The more we can chip away at that, the more people will hopefully be motivated to invest as we near the totals.

All in now. That's my pledge gone through.
Hoping we can get quite a few people at the Arena on Monday and that any money made can get put towards the seats too.

I thought I'd done GoCardless but now I'm not sure. I logged in on my account but it doesn't say which method I paid with. The e-mail received appears to be a catch-all one covering both methods of payment. I'll try bank transfer then.

What do you mean by shortfall? I haven't yet had any money taken out of my account which was pledged for Phase 1 so I'm sure it's not just me in this situation.

Re: Update from the CEO
Just one thing. If the 2nd phase of building is about to begin soon, despite only 5k of the 50 being raised, does this mean that all the money raised so far in the pitches is to be used as a deposit, or we have taken a loan for the 12k or whatever it is, and the community shares money will pay it ba...
