Re: NANTWICH MATCH POSTPONED :(
Well sorry for having an opinion! It's still better than having 2 midweek games. I would have thought Nantwich would rather have the game out of the way too. After all it's only 24 hours after it was due to be played. No need to be sorry for having an opinion. I just have a different opinion....No ...

We are not playing in the biggest none league cup semi-final on Saturday though are we...And for us it's a better option but not for Nantwich.loan_star wrote:We are playing Tuesday too. It's a better option than 2 midweek games.

Re: NANTWICH MATCH POSTPONED :(
Makes you wonder if if any thought had been given to postponing the game 24 hours and playing today? That would have been a sensible idea, but league rules might not have allowed it. Are you two seriously suggesting that Nantwich should play a game on the Sunday and Tuesday before what is probably ...

Re: To the Missing 500
Not quite sure why all the Salford bashing. As far as I'm aware none of the fans have ever claimed to be hugely well supported, they're a small team with a bunch of core fans that probably never wanted any of the furore that has enveloped the club and we're happy supporting a small non league club ...

Re: Match Thread
For whatever reason we were bloody awful yesterday. Yes we took charge in the first half but in all honestly their keeper must have had one of his easiest games of the season. All that first half possession just came to nothing and the second half just slowly fizzled out for us. It's terrible to re...

Re: Match Thread
Just seen the highlights...looked a definate penalty to me when Hardy was brought doown in the box a few mins before they scored....But, you win some you lose some. Just seems that we lose more than we gain.. I think we had our chances, but need to take more care when shooting, looked like some of t...

Re: Season Extensions in other Leagues
If the league extend our season the rest of the teams in the play off area would not be happy about it, especially after we only got a suspended points deduction earlier in the season. I can see certain people from Blyth,Frickley and Buxton going off it on the "NoBrainZone" forum...Not to mention th...

Re: Darlington v Ashton United Match Thread
Don't agree that it was a fair result. They were better than us in the first half, but the 2nd half we created chances that would have gone in on another day. I don't know why we pulled everyone except Cartman back after we scored...When we got possession after that we had no-one to pass it to as ev...

I don't think any team at our level and above are capable of winning 24 league games in a row..It's just not possible in my opinion

Re: Ossett Town Away Tue 16th Feb - Doodson Cup
I would give the lads game time..If we win then we can put a scratch team in the next round (quarter final I think), or actually do the same then. The other side is would they cancel a league game to play the next round and then we play Tue/Thu in the league or would they put the Doodson on the Thu...

Honestly don't know which way it will go...If we play like we have against Blyth then we will win. But, like Darlo Pete says. Ifr we play like we have in the first half of the last two games we will lose...
I think somewhere in the middle. So a draw for me.

Re: Match Thread
I wasn't there but it was made out that they weren't dirty fouls it was just frequency rather than anything. If it's reckless then the first one goes. If it is a trip/pull when a player is moving into a promising position then the same goes. That wasn't how it was described above. If you caution ev...

Re: Match Thread
If they take it in turns it is quite hard. The only option is after 3 or 4 is to call skipper in and basically say "know what your doing - I don't care if be next foul on him is the softest one ever by the player who has just come on as sub if it happens in the next 20minutes he's going in the book...

Didn't think we played particularlly well tonight, thought we lacked movement from midfield but we were far too strong for them......

Re: 250 tickets for Salford game
They may be a BBC hobby club, and our promotion rivals, but I totally agree with this decision. The people to blame are the once a season drunken coachloads who came down from Darlo last season. I just hope some care is taken about who gets the 250 tickets. Its annoying cause I live just 15 miles a...

Re: Darlington v Colwyn Bay
I thought our game yesterday was very good. We passed the ball to Cartmans feet a lot more and I think that is one of his strengths. His first touch is very good and this allows him to play it off to others bringing them into the play...In my opinion, when we play like that we are a better team..No ...

Re: Alan White
White is a good player to have on the bench, as cover for the centre of the defence or as a striker if we are chasing the game late on. I'm sure he'll feature before the end of the season. but anymore ill discipline and that'll be it. White did very well as a striker early part of the season, But c...

Saw him at the Bishop game where he scored 5...Yes, i know it was a friendly but the performance was still there. Also he played against Blyth where he got Man of the match by a clear street, So much so that he has now signed for them. I would have likedfor him to have had a few games in the team to...

Re: Kneeshaw available for transfer
Will be a very good acquisition for them. People got carried away and said this when he joined us, based on a few pre-season games (which I said at the time was ludicrous because friendlies lack the competitiveness of league matches). He has little first team experience over the past year or so and...

Re: FA Cup
The game against Peterborough at Feethams lingers on in my memory. We would have played Newcastle at home if we'd won. This was the game that included Barry Conlon's infamous, ball still in orbit, penalty miss. The big Man City game previous to this was a classic, 1 all I think. If my memory serves...
