Re: Let fans in
The pub thing annoys me. At about 6pm on Saturday I walked down our local high street and one of the pubs was rammed with people. Groups of more than six, tables close to each other, people stood up chatting and hardly anyone wearing a mask. Most people are making sacrifices and being sensible, but...

In his update, David said Darlo if no help was forthcoming we would run out of cash in January and to finish the season would cost approx £250.000.poppyfield wrote: ↑Wed Sep 30, 2020 12:38 pmSo how much do we need as a club to cover the costs of playing behind closed doors? Ball park figure anyone?

Re: SEASON POSTPONED?
As sad as it may well be if clubs start becoming insolvent in biblical proportions which I can see happening if this tragedy continues - could we even find ourselves granted a place in a higher league by default. If so would that spell the end to Blackwell Meadows if it did not meet ground regulati...

Is there any logical reason that some people hate the Arena . Obviously there were bad times there due to unscrupulous characters who had no interest in the Football Club . The Arena in itself was not and is not the problem . The place is not jinxed or haunted . To state that you would never go the...

My first ever game was a Friday night. Because of a docklands concert the following day Leyton Orient brought forward the Darlo game to the Friday night 8/10/1988. Darlo lost 1-0 my second game Cambridge away Darlo lost 1-0 a pattern to my Darlo watching career was beginning to form.

Thanks for that Nimrod I was there. I only missed 2 games home & away all season & that was because of a holiday booked before the season started. I remember going to the first game of the season at Wycombe & someone said lets go to every game this season, so there was a group of around 10 of us th...

At the time I was living in Essex and got back home before six. At the time BBC 2 used to do a sports roundup so I was eagerly watching for Darlo to get a mention...not a word until right at the end and they ran a special report billing it the biggest non-league game of the season. It cut to the Dar...

Well it's landed in the north east, are many people worried. I'm in a job where I have to visit lots of people in their homes. At least if I can't do my job I will still be paid. It must be very worrying for those people who don't have contracts or who are self-employed. The implications for footba...

I did have an impulsive thought-could you do Irlam v York then rush over to Urmston/Flixton for 3 but it's too tricky. I remember a mate going to Portsmouth v Bristol Rovers then Exeter's game many years ago. Anyone else done a double? I ran a team in Essex many moons ago on the Saturday we had a h...

Back in the day we used to have "utility players". Paul Madeley of Leeds United played everywhere except keeper! He wore every shirt 2-11. It's not unusual for players to able to fill different roles. Gary Brown was okay in goal. Madeley was a better keeper than Sprake! My Cat was a better keeper t...

Re: King’s Lynn
We were OK in the first half - maybe the better side - but woeful in the second half in which we made our customary defensive slips and were generally second best all over the field. AA needs a rethink and get Galbraith in as soon as poss. So much for team bonding with an overnight stay. We did loo...

Never in my wildest dreams did I expect Heaton to be playing for us again. Really hope we can find a way of signing him, as it would be a massive boost and upgrade for our defence. Clearly the lad wants to come back, let's hope this happens. If need be we can fire up boost the budget again to cover...
