Re: Probably been posted before...
I was looking at the squad tracker the other day, since Raj threw his teddies out of the cot 10 players have left so far. If you take everything into account working on a average of £500 a week wages and all add ons this equates to savings in the region of £5000 a week or £20000 a month. At the end ...

Great performance today
Just got back from the game, excellent performance from the lads today. I am happy with a point after going behind, however I feel and I have no doubts Liddle will say it was two points dropped rather than 1 point gained as we had numerous chances which we should have taken. Liddlle selection today ...

Re: Northern Echo
Maybe we are all reading to much into it, but I doubt it. Could it be that all Raj is doing is getting the high earners out of the club before concentrating on bringing in younger players on lower wages and letting Liddle maximise their potential befor selling them on. He could be copying a certain ...

Miller paid?
Yet another twist to this saga, in this mornings Northern Echo they stated that hours after Miller stated he was leaving the club have now paid up his wages.

Re: Gateshead bid for Hatch
Other clubs will be looking at Chandler, however I don't believe Raj will let him go. In his programme notes after the Hinkley game he said I looked around the pitch and there was only Jamie and a couple of others who looked as if they had the desire to get back into the game. From this I would assu...

No problem, leave him in charge till the end of the season then.

Re: Managers job.
Lidds said after the Hinckley game he didn't think he would be offered it, not that he wouldn't take it.
On the other hand Raj might not name another manager and just let Lidds get on with it until the end of the season.

Managers job.
Time to give Liddle the job. I believe Raj should let Lidds oversee both the youth and first teams, bring in a couple of coaches to assist him who have the same football beliefs as him, such as Maddo. I have watched the youth team and applaud the style of football Lidds has them playing, if he can t...

If he closes the football side of it down will the arena carry on with its current commitments as the commercial department are still pushing these Xmas nights, which seemly are popular at £30 a head.

If all this speculation tonight about players leaving the club is correct we will only have the following 17 senior players left; GK Russell RB Arnison LB Brown LB Gray CB Miller CB Lee CB Quinn CB Sanchez M Chandler M MBW M McReady M Rundle M Taylor F Gray F Bowman F Walshaw From this list I can se...

played his last game for Newton Aycliffe and has made a good impression over there.
It's the likes of him that are the future of DFC I hope he is now given the opportunity he deserves and can force his way into the first team.

Re: don`t hold your breath.
The problem is we have tried the short term solution every time, bringing in these so called journeyman to get us promoted, it doesn't work. All they are after is a final payday before they retire they couldn't give a monkeys about the club or the fans. At some point we have to look long term, again...

Re: Youth game
I'd probaly say around the 100 mark, around 20 from Sheffield, mainly the players parents. I noticed Raj was in attendance in one of the boxes with Dusty Miller and a couple of others. It will be interesting to see if Lidds put a couple of the kids in the squad for Saturday. I've noticed a lad calle...

Re: Youth game
Excellent performance tonight by the youth team. Liddle has got them playing good football, wingers, movement, pace, passing everything that is not the first team. Stand out players for me were: Scott Harrison, centre half composed on the ball read the game well, could spray passes around the pitch ...

Good article Andrew. There's been a lot of supporters sitting with rose tinted glasses on. We have been playing the worst football I have ever seen in 35 years as a Darlo supporter. If anyone wants to question this just look where we are today, getting beaten by part timers. Yes we won at Wembley an...

Re: Who are the "old fogies"?
[quote="PierremontQuaker03"]Just listened to Coopers post match comments and it is cringe worthy to say the least. I heard him say that there were 4 or 5 old fogies he wants to get rid of - I was trying to work out who he is referring to. I believe he was referring to the moaning gits who sit behind...

Our strikers were that far apart at one point I thought Walshaw was playing left wing and Hatch playing on the right. Dryden was screaming at them to get closer together.

Re: Stockport V Darlington Match Thread
We have some good players in the squad, far better than the league suggests, all I ask is Cooper plays them in their natural positions and things will look different. If he hasn't learnt a lesson from tonight we will be in trouble. I hope he doesnt start tinkering again, and we can get on a decent r...

Re: Stockport V Darlington Match Thread
Finally Cooper listens to what fans have been telling him all season, play wide players get the crosses in and Hatch will cause all sort of problems for defences. Shows what a lot of you know about football, slating Rundle and co when he has been playing them out of position. The players have never ...
